Well, I set out today to flush and remove the radiator so I could refab a new shroud that runs along the bottom of it. Bad news is I didn't expect the radiator bolts to shear off and well, the the bottom radiator frame doesn't look all that great either. Is this radiator toast or is it worth...
Wow. My paternal grandfather was born on Great Colinet Island and my grandmother was from Salmonier, getting up to Newfoundland is on my to-do list. Closest I've gotten is North Sydney but I didn't have enough vacation time to take the ferry over.
I'm just south of Portland, I-95 exit 42.
I'll sell you mine for a good price, I'm about 50 miles SE of you. I used it one year to make bio for my oil burning furnace but have since switched over to firewood, which I have lots of. I don't have much time to make bio since I'm trying to restore a 66' M109, 67' MGB and learn to weld at...
I've started tearing down my front end (fenders, radiator, etc) I'm hoping to have it all fixed up, painted and back together by Memorial Day, which would work for the rally. I just hope real work doesn't interfere with my plans!
Do you have any good hammock trees on site? I use a Hennesy...
Took a fender off so I could patch a rust hole and repaint the entire fender. This will be my first attempt at welding a patch so I was practicing with a Mig welder on scrap metal last night.
Like Nonotagain said its only 1300lbs. I recovered mine 450 miles in a Jeep TJ one way. I'll also endorse the Northern Tool 12 inch extension.
Don't forgot chains and linkages, the stock M101 chain won't reach.
Watch your speed on base, I got pulled over doing 25 in a 20 leaving the...
I understand your situation. I've bid on two GL items without consulting my wife, those did not go over well....and exponentially worse when you actually win the item. The auctions that I consulted were much better....she at least knows I love planning the expeditions to retrieve the stuff...
FYI, I posted a picture of the compressor pulley separated with the wrench here:

There's a couple sources of wrenches in the thread.
Pre-cut and flared lines are about $7 bucks each at NAPA, that seems pretty cheap considering the fittings are included. The only PITA is bending them to fit.
Container shipping by boat is coming the Eastern Seaboard in 2011. Hopefully that will give us casual freight users some new MV cargo options, or at least open closed doors due to the increased competition.
Weekly container ship service coming to Portland | The Portland Press Herald / Maine...
I'm a little late to the floor party but thought I'd bump the thread with some progress I made this weekend, at least I brought pics!
The corner boards came out without much effort due to the rust and water damage but the middle boards were fastened down pretty good and were a PITA. After some...
There appears to be a gasket under the cover, but honestly I don't know if its supposed to hold back fuel or not. The Fuel Pump TMs make my head hurt. aua
Sorry for the belated reply, just noticed the question. Here are the NAPA brake lines I used, already cut and double flared with fittings. You just need to bend them.

Nuts, I hate reading stories like this...I don't think there's many spare engines in my neck of the woods. I'm sorry for your loss and wish you luck on your engine swap endeavor.
I've wondered if its possible to do an outdoors engine swap by positioning a 2-ton floor engine hoist on a trailer...
I would just like to thank USSR for posting all of these pictures and information. I was a child of the 1980s and grew up fascinated with Soviet military machines. In a sentimental kind of way I sometimes miss the Cold War. :)
My wrench set from Comdriver arrived in time to change the belt this weekend. I found a short 2x4 was great for pushing the front wrench down into the engine compartment. I threaded the two bolts back onto the pulley to hold the front wrench in place and rotated the pulley from the rear...
