I just posted a wanted ad in the classifieds for one of those heaters. The one I am looking for is a UH48-E, they were used in commo shelters and mine is missing the heater. If anyone knows where there are any I would appreciate the help.
Vintage video has a cd called nothing but WWII jeeps and in a segment on that cd it shows them using one of those units mounted in the back of a WWII jeep heating the manifold with the heater then juming it with the slave.
New ether bottles for the deuce $2ea bought a case of 12
New GMA deuce camo bed cover $300
I noticed other deals but if you were just a few seconds too late they were gone, lots of venders and lots of buyers.
Did you look to see if the lights were flashing or just go by the turn signal indicator light? The bulb in the indicator may be bad, also check the flasher ground both on the box and the control.
I'll be there Thursday thru Sunday, I'll have two vendor spots at the end of "C" isle, canopy with camo netting. Bringing the M151A1. Be sure to stop by.

The covers do come in handy and look good but I had one on my truck and drove many miles on them in the military. The big drawback is that it sticks up high and the front really catches the wind, it's like a big sail and you can really feel the wind drag and it's noisy. My unit canned all the...
I would remove the flame heater. I replaced mine with the ether kit. Gets rid of extra hoses, wires, potential leaks etc. When its below freezing all it takes is one flip of the switch while cranking and it starts! Seems there is always someone looking for flame heater parts, sold mine here...
Unless you have a license such as ham radio allowing you to operate on the 6meter band 50-54Mhz its just a boat anchor, looks cool, or acts as a receiver. In that case any radio would work. If you are licensed to transmit on it you might want the power output the 524/246 offers. The...
I will at weare, its the last weekend in July 27-28-29, too far to drive the deuce but I will be towing the M151 down on a trailer. There was a rally in Maine several years ago in Old Town, I had my m151 there and a few showed but not a big turnout. I think Weare is your best bet. Weare is a...
Here is a picture from an earlier post by bjorn on his clutch job, you can see with the wood blocks in place his fingers are in the same place yours are without blocks, I would guess something is wrong. I just got one from Saturn and it had the wood blocks in it. Have not taken mine apart yet.
Looks great! Looking at the dash on the drivers side it looks like the "T" handle of the fuel shut off is broken off, it might be a good idea to bring a new engine stop cable with you, or if the handle is just broken off a vice grip may work untill you can get a replacement cable. Looks like a...
I looked at my pump today and it looks like a "cover" where the FDC should be, does this mean it has been bypassed and covered. Here are a couple of pictures.
Here are a couple of pictures of it installed. I don't have any gauges hooked up, what you see is the ether tube or the plugs for the old flame heater parts. When I said scream I meant whistle of the turbo exhaust. As far as sharing where I got it rebuilt it was from a SS member and I don't...
