I have noticed that bulbs can "dim" over time. A new bulb is always brighter than an old headlight. Usually its not a Huge difference, just some times more noticable.
I picked up a keyed-alike set of locking handles for a local RV place. I think they were under 20$. I did have to shorten the shaft and move the screw holes a little further apart. They were black, I painted the handles OD. I really enjoy being able to lock the cab.
Although I never met him, I feel a loss. I have been very impressed with everyone here. Such kind words for Shootiniron, he must have been a great guy. I just read this today. I live in Utah, it sad to loss someone so close. My prayers for his family. RIP.
I bought a "jeep heater" from a surplus place in Idaho (close to me). It cost about $70. I still although had Hose, plumbing conections, etc. I couldn't beat the price.
I must say that I am much more carefull now, after hitting my elbow a couple of times.
I thought about a streering knob but watching the wheel spin, coming out of a turn scare me. I would have more injury from a steering knob...
Ok, I have only had my Deuce for 6 months, but I have probably hit my elbow on the door a couple of times, when turning. I am thinking I may want to upholstry the inside top of the door, so when I slam my elbow into the door, i will not hurt my elbow. Any one else have this happen? Solutions...
Hey Panshark, thanks for the thought. I am still thinkin..about how to do this. I have not done anything yet. So everytime I drive it, it drips on the hot Turbo...arrg. I beleive what I will do is;
remove the lock ring.
Rig some kind of bucket/bag under valve.
Turn electical on (tank pump) to...
Ok, here is my thought. If I release the Lock-ring, can I start the engine to push the end cap off? Of course i would have a catch device, to catch all parts. Thoughts?
Hey Panshark, can you remove the end piece of the heater injector, on the engine? Or do I have to remove it? I am sure I can remove the retain ring, but not sure if the end cap (with the O-ring) can be removed on the truck.
Thanks
Randy
What does it look like? I have had my Deuce for about 6 mo. It has the lime green stuff, so it look like standard Anti-freeze. How do I tell what I have?
Oh, is there a big difference, between the regular and Diesel anti-freeze? (sorry if I sound stupid)
I just replaced my primary fuel filter (Jatonka) on Saturday. I wanted to be able and replace it "on the road" if needed. It wasn't hard, but would be more than I would like to do in the case of a breakdown. Hopefully I will never find out. It looks like a well made piece, that gives me comfort...
You know, I spent about 45min-hour on the phone. I was transferred several times. Still no one could answer the question. The state tax dept asked that I write (not E-mail) the tax commision and they would look into it, then get back to me. Arrg! How can they make this so hard? I want to give...
Ok, so I dont want to get a 10K fine for not paying fuel tax. If I run WMO in my Deuce, how do I pay my .26 cent/gallon (whatever the amount!) tax. Anyone here in Utah do this?. Dont get me wrong, I am not eager to pay, but .26(whatever) is cheaper that the thousand for a fine.
I did call the...
