My M109 in the office parking lot shortly after I first got it road worthy.
The gentleman who owns the full length Ram 2500 quad cab, and was used to having the biggest truck in the lot, parked next to me on purpose then walked inside and said "I ain't afraid of your Deuce!"
I learned it from someone else's M105 recovery pictures, but I don't think I found it mentioned in the TMs anywhere. I carried them that way on my recovery last Monday to reduce drag.
Here's some better pics.
Fredo, I like the scenic route when I can take it. Interstate seemed like the best way to go on the return trip and I have friends in Mass if I ran into trouble. There was one other guy who showed up that Monday at 0700 to pick up a M101. Kevin said Tuesday's and...
Got home from Drum several hours ago after picking up a sweet 62' Atlantis Electronics Corp M105A2. It must be a rebuild because its in such good shape with a few A1 and A2 features and fiberglass racks. The body appears galvanized, but I understand that might be a rust proofing.

08/09/2010 EUC sent to Battle Creek (emailed to GL that afternoon)
08/20/2010 Customer Notified...

That said, the local "Handy Man Equipment Rental" here in Maine rents blasters and air compressors.
Here's another article written in a different light. There also appears to be another driver involved who pulled out in front of the wrecked car causing it to slow down.
The driver of the SUV was identified, his name comes up as a pastor and candidate for SC House District 87.
Background: I won a M109A3 last Oct 1st at GL auction. The truck was advertised as "Truck Did Start" then inspected and started by my brother on base at Ft. Campbell. It looked in decent "drivable" condition before the auction. :D
Fast Forward to the week before Xmas when the EUC cleared...
Mine arrived early January. I'm a tinkerer and not a large vehicle maintenance professional so I had to buy some new tools :-). My truck runs great, supposedly it has only seen 40 miles of use since the 85' rebuild if records are correct. Paint and body work will be my biggest projects...
