The booster has bleeder valve (pointed skyward) like the wheel cylinders, don't mistake it for a grease zerk.
On my end I've built the pressure bleeder and replaced 5 rusty steel lines and 2 questionable hoses. My frustrations are around getting the new line fittings to stop leaking...
Neat article I stumbled across. Talks about how 3d ACR modified a M109 and employed it during operations. There's a fuzzy pic of it rigged with tactical gear and a modified rear platform.

Found one. Looks like the truck to the left doesn't have a white star painted in the middle. Also, it appears there's a third 109 to the far left draped with two M35 canvas covers.
Gotta love the pinups pasted on the inside of the rear doors on J3344.
Edited to add: Maybe the...
The AJP prices are out of date, that page hasn't been updated since Feb 1999 because they don't have a webmaster who can edit the static pages, they only update the shopping cart system.
I learned it the hard way today. My wife was in town and picked up 6 gallons and 2 spray cans of 24087...
New 66' owner here. +1 on the rusty brake lines. I've replaced 5 of them so far and two rubber hoses. I also have to go into the hub to rebuild at least one leaky wheel cylinder.
I've decided to restore my 66' M109 to its factory 24087 paint color and markings. I was wondering if any of you had photos of a M109's rear end with their original 1960s paint and markings? The shot I'm referring to is in the attached figure from TB746-93-1.
Thanks!
Tonight was the local fish & game club's potluck supper and I sat down at a table with a disabled vet who's on our membership committee. The Chief Range Safety officer called over from the other table and asked how "the truck was" and I replied I was replacing the rusty brake lines .... that...
I think the op (and other Biodiesel newbies) should be advised we're talking about two different fuels in this thread.
(1st) Biodiesel: the creation of which involves reacting de-watered and ph neutralized waste vegetable oil with an alcohol (usually methanol) and further refining it through...
I just got one too for my M109A3 from Fort Campbell. The odd thing is, it was picked up the week before Xmas and is sitting in my driveway in Maine....
Hmm..... that gives me an idea. If I put wings on my 7.5' Boss Plow I can get 9.3 feet of plow width. That'll work with my 109 if I can fab up a hitch....something to work on for next season.
I can barely make out "24V DC" in painted yellow letters under the foam green overspray on the motor housing on mine. Maker is XXXXX & Myers Inc. (Can't make out the first name)
Since mine runs off the deuce batteries just fine I'll deduce that the box/switch towards the front of the van is a...
My brother and I are planning a road trip through parts of TN-AL-GA the first full week of April. If it works out we'll try to drop by to represent Joshua Chamberlain and the 20th Maine.
Unfortunately...the only vehicle we'll have to bring is his Corolla. :driver:
