I'm looking for one too if anyone has them. Will pay shipping or might be able to pickup in the NorthEast. I just need the glass assembly, I have the hinge and internal frame.
Width: 22 1/8 inches
Height: 26 1/4 inch including hinge
Also looking for a blackout cover.
Thanks!
My hawkers I posted about earlier are coming back to life, I've been charging them indoors with a 12 volt electronic charger for the last several days (switching it back and forth). Initially the charger would abort on the worser battery at the 10-20amps setting but completed a charge using the...
My 66' 109A3 arrived Wednesday with two 12 volt Hawker AGMs. It was a TN National Guard truck sold from Campbell.
One battery appears to be in 'hibernation,' I'm trying to revive it with a Schumacher electronic charger. It'll charge to 100% then discharge to 10-20%. Read one bulletin that...
I just wanted to say I had a great transport experience with Eric and Bill who delivered my M109A3 yesterday. They hauled it up to Maine from Fort Campbell and managed to move a 5 ton to Vermont at the same time! Here's some pics!
Now with Pics!
Finally! Eric and Bill from Hotshot Transportation arrived today from the South and dropped off the 109 in Maine. To my surprise it has both the C Turbo and a rear transfer case PTO! No linkages however that I've found in the cab.
Other details: its a 1966 Kaiser Jeep...
I'm looking forward to learning about my new deuce, I think its great so much knowledge is documented on this site and everyone is so helpful. The PMs are great.
You might need need the skills when you can't get to a mechanic. Ie Saturday night I lost 4 wheel drive on my plow truck in the...
Welcome, another new guy here just NE of you near Portland. My M109A3 is set to be delivered in the next coming days. Neat rig. I'll probably install screw-in filters as well, seems to be what all the cool kids are doing. I hope it helps, lets keep those multifuels running a long time.
My first deuce is arriving next week, so I can't comment on how it runs yet but I imagine it'll work fine provided the biodiesel has low water content and you're running it above gel temperatures.
I built a Apple Seed processor when home oil prices when sky high and used B10-60 in my home...
Came across this multi-fuel engine article reading old copies of Popular Mechanics online. It talks about the Deuce with the LDS-427 engine. Thought it was interesting enough to share:
Swirl Chamber Engine Runs on What's Handy
I did spend 5 years in the DC area, including a year in Lorton VA (not the prison!) but that's as far south as I got. My Army brother (Green-to-Gold 1LT) tho has taken up permanent residence in Clarksville (Sorry!) But we'yah tryin to get him back hey'ah. :-D
Eric from Hotshot loaded up the...
I suggest you call the GL site manager to verify its still on hold. My Oct 1st M109 that was on the hold list was loaded up last night, the EUC was my holdup, not the hold.
Crazy. The odometer currently reads 26,968. So given your record findings, this truck has only traveled 38 miles under its own power since the first year of Reagan Administration?!
Edited to add, donation complete. Thanks!
Today a GL employee escorted my brother over the truck so he could get the VIN number for registration and insurance. My brother had previously inspected and started the vehicle before the auction. The truck now had two flat tires, the cab floor was torn up and you could visually see that...
Thanks all. If you haven't been reading the EUC Help forum the invoice cleared on day 68!
I solicited 3 bids for transport from regulars on the site, two low bidders tied so I went with the first low bidder which was Hotshot Transportation. Really impressive support network you have here...
OOOooo baby Finally!
EUC Status history:
Submission of EUC Pending 10/01/2009
EUC sent to Battle Creek 10/09/2009
Approved 12/16/2009
Customer Notified 12/16/2009
(First time EUC for a M109A3)
Thanks, as much as I'd like the adventure I'm going to have a professional haul it up from Campbell. My brother is a soldier on base and has been over the truck, fired it up, etc. He's driven a few deuces in Kuwait. Luckily I'm getting a referral bonus for hiring another guy at work (same guy...
