Those are the secondary and final fuel filters. The little screw deal on top is the bleed screw to let air out after changing the filters.

Mis-spelling "deuce" usually cost an extra thousand. I would guess $5,000 or so because or the air assist steering. The torn steering knuckle boots are a piece of cake. If you can turn a wrench you can replace them. Search for the "stepxstep" thread.

The reason for the HMMVW rules comes down to liability and money more than national security. Do a search and you'll find some threads about it.

Did you remember the little metal disc that goes in the top spindle? That could cause the hub to hang low. I don't know how much clearance there is between parts when everything is put together.

I think full 3 color would look the best. Solid green was just a generic way to paint the truck.

Also look under the back. The A1 and earlier has a single point suspension. The A2 has a trailing suspension. Also so check out G838.org.

Glad it was something simple. Parking in gear is bad. If the truck gets bumped it can start up and drive away.
