Earlier I was editing one of my posts and got a message that I needed to upgrade media player software. I didn't get screen shot. Win7 Pro, Google Chrome and Malwarebytes running in the background.
I could not close it. Had to use task manager to shut it down.

Always use the part numbers from the Tech Manuals, not what LMC lists
The tranmission is designed to shift at around 8" of vacuum. That is about half throttle of gasser engine. Since diesels do not produce a vacuum like a gasser engine, they install a vacuum pump and the throttle valve to simulate the gasser vacuum.

I do not believe the valve is rebuildable. The plastic is fused together.
Too many unknowns. Not to be a smartypants, but did you figure out your recovery plan before you bought the truck?
What is your skill set in driving a 20,000+ lb truck? If you breakdown what are your mechanical skills?
Many companies make towbars for a jeep. You just need one with a lunette...
Helps to know what vehicle you are working on. And what type of trailer connector you want. 7-round, 6-round, 4-flat, etc
Many have used the t-connectors and added a 4-flat, but it does take a little modifing
