    Good News!

I think your tag line pretty much sums everything up here.

But then there wouldn't be anything to complain about. Sounds like a troll tale (or tail if trolls have them).

Working On The M561 Gama Goat

Didn't get much accomplished today. A major weather event moved through this morning and just didn't feel like doing much. The primer sprayed yesterday went on extremely dry so I went back over it a bit to knock down the high spots. Hopefully tomorrow will be decent enough I can get the...

San Antonio, TX Monthly MV get together!!

I really recommend this event for anyone that is able. Lots of free food and a whole company that is geared toward veterans and active military members.

Working On The M561 Gama Goat

I need to give a [thumbzup] to another vendor. I ordered some paint from RAPCO on Wed afternoon and it arrived Thur afternoon. Granted it shipped from Ft Worth to San Antonio but a 1 day turn around is awesome customer service.

    IronPlanet is a joke!

CHUBB will insure it as a "collector" vehicle with no garaging requirements (they insure vehicles throughout the US but I don't have MI specific info). Whether it's collector insurance or not you're likely going to need a Class A license due to the weight and they won't insure a "I want to...

Working On The M561 Gama Goat

That was the original plan. The wife's M37 is painted with Behr house paint and it turned out fine. Unfortunately we're in for some bad weather the next week or so and you're supposed to let the Behr cure for several weeks before it gets wet the 1st time. I've got an event on the 17th-19th so...

Working On The M561 Gama Goat

Got the rest of the Goat in primer today. I could have really used about another 1/2 gallon but will have to let it go at this point. Any glaring spots I've missed I'll hit with a rattle can of etch since I'll likely have to be spot painting the cover coat that way as well. Seems I used to...

San Antonio, TX Monthly MV get together!!

Not going to be able to make it. Hope to be putting color on the Goat Saturday. I think I remember you saying you had Fiesta stuff going on next week so wouldn't make Mabry either. Temple (May 1-3)?

Yes RAPCO is enamel. The Behr needs to cure for a couple of weeks before you get it wet. It's not great to get enamel wet to soon after spraying but it should hold up better. With the canopy I should only have to worry about sideways rain.

Working On The M561 Gama Goat

So today was my shock collar fitting. I don't believe the woman doing it knew what the he77 she was doing. The first try she couldn't find the nerve it was supposed to be affecting. Once she finally did, instead of it lifting my foot and turning it slightly to the right it made it move like...

Working On The M561 Gama Goat

Got a little done this morning. Shot a couple of coats of self etch primer on the exterior of the carrier. Wife was freaked out about me having it on jack stands with no one around and no phone so didn't get the wheel wells too good. No way I'm doing the underside with a gun. Just not enough...

Working On The M561 Gama Goat

Actually there's only 1 thing I get there (and I've been there 1/2 dozen times) and that's the Cajun Enchiladas. Very tasty. The place is called The Reel in Bulverde, TX in case you'd like to view the menu.

Working On The M561 Gama Goat

It's been a while since I've seen mine but I don't think it's that beefy. If TexAndy brings it back I'll review it to see for sure.

Working On The M561 Gama Goat

I'll probably get up early and try and get the underside prepped before I need to head to town around 10. Should be fun trying to spray primer and sealer while laying on my back a foot away from an overhead target.

Working On The M561 Gama Goat

I thought that was just a regular rivet gun. I guess my CRS disease is crossing over with the MS. Was mentioning to Keith the other day that he should try this new restaurant in town. He said he had. With his wife, me, and my wife. Don't remember it at all.

Working On The M561 Gama Goat

Keith_J was over today and we got a little body work done. First thing was to weld up a broken seam on the driver's side under the fuel tank. The large piece of angle aluminum that acts as a step is missing here and the weld adjacent to that was broken. Only real issue was having to take the...

Working On The M561 Gama Goat

The funeral is for a friend's mom. She was 93 so had a pretty good run. Her husband is a WWII B26 pilot. He's still going strong but will be tough on him as they just celebrated their 76th anniversary. The nerve stim is just a test to see if it's going to do any good. I should have listened...

Working On The M561 Gama Goat

Still won't turn on after 2 days so I'm going to call it "toast" for now. Of course it had to happen on Easter Weekend so no one was open to try and get it resolved yesterday. Local AT&T store doesn't open until 10 this morning so I'll try and get started on the Goat before having to stop and...
