think i figure out what happening, your starter is for humvee, the flex plate is different than the orginial one Cucv could this be the issue and the newer style don't require shim packs the ground to fit by manufacture

I just got butt load these off GL for the min. kinda of ironic I also got 150 dip sticks I MUST STAY AWAY FROM GL, I know they are expensive Hyd. filters I considering useing the primary and seconary off big old detriot they are big but cheep
As far as I have read and seen the only issue for interchanging injectors is the difference in threads. some like to use the van type (short) injector for turbo installation cor clearence issues. I have read that marine inject. allow for HP I don't why ?? I have too much to do getting my bastard...

I thought the spit rims on a 2.5 ton are more like bead lock not true split ring there is grove on the side or lip so when you deflate the dosen't sperate from ect... it in the TMs
I think the chatter is the glow plug relay kicking on and off maybe cycling maybe check the sending units on the heads driver side up front pass. side toward the back or maybe the ground on the body?
