Does anyone have a junker M200 genset trailer that has some odds and ends parts on it? Mine is missing a bunch of brake and handbrake parts, the chains are missing the hooks, brackets, etc. Let me know if you are parting one out, please. Thanks.
Don't have a manual for my 10 KW diesel genset. Can anyone help me with information about the MEP-003A genset's center of gravity location? I need to mount my genset to a trailer, and it would help knowing where the balance point is over the axle.
Was thinking on the way back from Rausch Creek, all those deuces that get turned into bobbed 4x4s, that there are WAY too many rear axle spares out there compared with the supply of front axles. Then I remembered the guy in MVM that is selling a 5-ton with 4 rear axles, and I started thinking...
Does anyone have any good pics or detailed information about the correct tools that were issued along with the WWII jeeps and other WWII smaller trucks, such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.? I go to flea markets all the time, and I see plenty of older tools, was wondering if I should be...
For those into green radios, I had to share. I made a trip to Bernie M's place in Smyrna DE a couple months back. Great guy, for those who have been to Aberdeen, you have met him before. He showed me his ham radio shack in the barn, and my eyes about popped out of their sockets! Look at the...
Did anyone here get the M1101 trailer for the HMMWV that sold on GL yesterday, 10/15? Last I looked at it the high bid was $3,300 or so. It was perfect condition, and it was mislabelled as a M101 trailer. Didn't fool the bidders, though.
I know the MX-7777 is used with the VRC-12 series of radios. What is the correct suppressor for the SINCGARS series of vehicle radio installations, including the RT-1439 and RT-1523?
Well, just got some pics from the 2009 work weekend on the USS Torsk submarine in Baltimore. Once a year, vets from all over the country descend on the Torsk to lend a hand restoring this old boat, from stem to stern. I was only able to attend on Sat, Oct. 3rd, but was happy to show up. I...
If anyone got one of the 5-ton laundry trailers in the past year that had any of the equipment on it, I am looking for a couple units off of it, more specifically the hot water heater, and the water pump. They must be in working order. The trailer I got earlier this year had junker units on...
Is there a military issue test rig for testing standard handsets, such as the M80, H189, and H250? Seems to me the only way to test handsets I have now requires two people, two radios, and they are actually broadcasting to see if they can hear each other.
There must be a simpler way to hook...
I just burned through a set of front tires on my deuce like it's noone's business. When I got the deuce 4500 miles ago, all the tires were new. The front ones are 30% on the driver's side, and 10% at best on the passenger's side. On the flat and level, I don't see any noticeable...
Would like to know more information about the gun trucks in Vietnam, built on the M37 3/4-ton chassis. There were a few made in country, some pics I have of them are below. There is only one reproduction M37 gun truck, the Malfunction, in existence. I would like some more detailed pics, both...
Thought I'd start a pic thread for the big Gilbert rally, there were a lot of Steel Soldiers there. The weather was perfect, the trucks were absolutely kicka$$, and the buying/selling was great too. Couldn't be any better!
The trip up was uneventful, except for some rain on the way, but the...
Saw this on Craigslist - the seller puts in the ad that it's too uncommon a machine to modify into a rock crawler. Looks like it's very nice shape. 1952 M38A1.... 1952 Willys Jeep M38A1 Army Jeep
Saw this on Craigslist, I don't have the $$$ set aside for it right now, but I'd hate to see this end up in the hands of someone who is going to use it for a beater woodchuck truck. $700 for it, need a brake part or two. A friend saw it and says the body is great, no rust problems.
1977...
Looking to get a pallet of two trailer lube plates shipped from Northern VA to Roswell NM, was wondering if anyone out there could provide a shipping service or some prices for me.
Pallet is standard sized, holding two of these items, total weight is estimated at 750 pounds. It would help...
I would like to take my PRC-47 radio set to the VA rally to operate it in the field this coming weekend. I do not have the proper power source for it, it uses either 24 volt DC (like a 24VDC jumper genset would provide), or 115 VAC 400 Hz. I was wondering if I could get input from someone who...
Stopped by Zuckerman's Metals in Winchester VA today to follow up on a rumor of some S-250 shelters that were "stacked like cordwood" at the place. No dice, but there were two S-280 shelters in very nice shape there by the entrance. Asked politely how much, they said they are not for sale...
The front bumper was damaged in an accident coming home from Haspin in June - it must be replaced. In the process, I will be re-assigning the truck to a new unit, so to speak. The new stencil markings will go on when the new bumper is mounted.
I need the proper bumper markings for a truck...
