I have some dimensions to add to this post but up front are some pictures of the trailer and bed.
W.M. is correct about the stakes and dimensions.
I cross checked them against my sideboards & Headboards for the M105.
Sketch to follow within the hour.
Sorry about the "fur" in the bed as they are...
I think that when they say "we don't accept a SF-97" then they do not actually know the rules and actually know what they are talking about in full detail.
The SF-97 is a form established by the US Federal Government.
They have to accept it as the certificate of origin in order to establish the...
This is what happens when a non-veteren gets a hold of a good truck
while slightly under the influence.
O.M.G. Someone buy it and turn it back into a boy!
We occasionally use that one down here too.
I'm so happy when they are not happy!
Gives me a kind of warm and fuzzy feeling deep down inside .

PS: Frodo, Remember "Pre-buy Inspection" it is very
important and can save alot of future heart ache.
Regardless...
You can also test your injectors to some extent by running it slightly above idel and cracking the injector nut one at a time (2 person project).
If you are running a little rought then the nut that is cracked that does not produce a mis-firing cylinder is the one that has a bad injector.
If is...
My favorite one for the FAA is "I've upped my standards so Up Yours".
I am an aviation maintenance professional so I keep tabs on the FAA which is always "fun".
Back to O.D. Green point, I don't know if we can blame GL as usually it is Uncle Sam that changes their mind and has the knee-jerk...
If you don't shorten the bed then you will have about a 4 foot overhang to the rear fo the frame with no support for the bed.
I have seen the dual or extended deuce with the M105 trailer bed as shown above and with a genuice deuce bed that had been shortened too.
Those extended cabs are really...
You could also have the problem that I have which is bad rings in that cylinder.
You can trouble shoot it by doing a compression check. Run it up on TDC for the cyclinders on that side one at a time and listen to exhause and instake to see if air is escaping there.
If you have air coming into...
I had a similar incident when a 93 Ford F150 decided that he wanted to turn left while I was passing him.
My M1009 pushed him into the ditch but I needed the trims well as a new parking light and side marker.
I used LMC Truck and replaced both parking lights and side marker since they were...
That is the 83 & 84 version of the nuts and locking mechanism.
I drove them with wtih a chisel and threw them away and went to the 85 & newer configuration.
It works much better during the lubrication cycle which is 10,000 miles per the TM and uses a more common and easier to find tool (socket)...
They are on pretty tight but generally they are a thin brass cover that is swaged aront the flat edge and can be removed with care.
I would be interested in seeing those lenses too.
I agree that the red is a little boring as well.
Why not alter it some...make it your own by golly! ;)

I sent you a PM and email but you can also find the s/n and possibly the heat treat date of the frame on the left front of the frame in one or two areas. Area #1 is just to the rear of the steering gearbox mounting area and the other is just in front opf the top shock mount.
If you can, use a...
If you are delicate about it you can transfer the lense cover from one color lense to another.
The high beam indicator is red if you have a military correct deuce because red is the offically correct night light that is the least distracting when transitioning from darkness to night lights in...
If there is a contact problem then it could be because the wiper arm was removed and reindexed on the drive shaft coming out of the firewall.
Check them when they are in the parked position but park them with water or glass cleaner on the windshield so they have a lubricated full range of...
Remember that the HB2 bulb is slightly different (in order to be DOT compliant) so I don't not know if the H4 bulb will plug into the same housing.
NOTE: 80 watts is beyond DOT approval and could get you a ticket if
the LEO was really sharp and inspected your lights.
Just my 1.7 cents worth but...
You have a civy transmission called the TH400 but the CUCV series trucks had a GM modification performed during manufacture that redesignated them as THM400. The M standards from military and what it means is that there are more bands in the THM over the TH series. I have heard that the number...
I use the Hella H4 headlight with a 60/55 watt bulb.
The light is brighter but much more focused.
It is a E-code light so it is not exactly legal for road use but as long as you keep them aimed properly you should not have a problem using them.
Do your research and you will see there are few...
At the risk of injecting confusion, I understand the loss of the key but this could be a good thing too.
Who the heck wants almost anyone on the military post to have an ingition key and door key to their truck?
Why not spend the 40 to 50 dollars and change the ignition lock and door locks...
I hate to say it but I have used Fastenall twice in the last few months and feel like I got "sexed" without my permission.
I recommend McMaster Carr in addition to the above mentioned suppliers.
Aviation Supply houses will also have them but the price with be at the Fastenal Price or a little...
Dream of O.D. Green
Don't give up on your dream. You may only be slightly delayed rather than cancelled out on the Deuce-or-similar ownership.
Hopefully you'll acquire some really good information from some of the local to you owners and you can get this "glitch" fixed.
In the mean time may I...
