    Tire chains

I like my Thule XB series chains for the van. I only use them if I get stuck. It turns out they will also fit a Mutt tire.

How do I get rid of canvas mildew smell?

I say apply some canvas preservative like Canvac and the smell will be drowned out and you'll help add life to the canvas.

    M35A2 fuel cap

You might try a new fuel cap seal first. I had trouble with diesel sloshing out on steep backroads. I put the new seal on and no more spilling.

Deuce refuses to start this morning.

How cold is it outside? Maybe it needs a shot of starting fluid. My deuce needs just a touch when the temp drops below 30 degrees. Just enough to start the diesel burning in the first place.

M35A2 Frame Up Restore Labor of Love

Beautiful. I wish I had the time and resources to rebuild my deuce like that.

    Should I?

Yes, you should use ball bearings instead of GL1 to lube your deuce transfer case. It's what Spicer recommends.

    GL & HUMMVe

Do you need a deep water kit to drive through the Sea of Tranquility? AM General didn't want surplus HMMWV's competing with the expensive civi H1's and I've heard AMG was worried about liability. I think DOD should have told AMG where to stick it. AMG wants to sell to the military and the...
