I was debating on the single or dual G286's but it sounds like single is pleanty. It's just hard to get used to driving behind a singled deuce. It looks so much different.
Welcome from Kansas City. Take your time and you'll find lots of nice things to do to the truck. I recommend lockin door handles for a start. Search for the sales thread. They are worth the money.
Two gallons should be plenty. If I remember right, I used about one and a half for a couple of coats on mine. I touched up the rust and primed those spots then painted the whole thing green. I did the black and brown with rattle cans. All Rapco paint.
A deuce is a pain as a daily driver if you do much driving in town. Most parking areas/lots are not set up for such big vehicles and their huge turning radius.
Cut the shaft of the lunette half way through and ask him if that will work. Can you find a shop to add a breakaway? Seems like a silly requirement to me.
