    What do I have? M35a1 or M35a2

Here is my A1 go-around form a couple years ago. Lots of A1 info. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?136487-Old-mixed-parts-M35-Gasser-VIN-ID-please&highlight=

    What do I have? M35a1 or M35a2

A1 nerd here. stb64 is another, and David Doyle is the history guru MV vehicle author. Pretty sure it's a '62 Stude A1 updated to A2, maybe after the military. Serial M-55 is close to mine, which is M-59. A1s were '61-'64. Probably not an updated M35 gasser. Pic of dash Data Plate would be nice...

I need to borrow an 87-89 USAF dual circuit master cyl. mount temporarily

I agree. Plasma would be cheapest but laser or water more accurate. Could probably cut the bolt holes and pilot/locator in the plates close enough with either of the latter. Some cutting tables have milling/drilling/tapping heads to speed up those processes. Cut the pieces out with tabs and...

Oh, I'm sure you'll get it done, no worries there, just noticing its gonna be an accomplishment.

2017 SoCal Summer Rally Aug, 4-6 Big Bear California San Bernardino Mtns. camping

Lots of it is tight for us big trucks, but lots of open and semi-open areas with playgrounds and optional lines...open area not relegated to trails.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I think a separate thread would be a really good idea for future reference. This thread is huge and stuff gets lost.

How about this winter we have a rally down here in the desert and do some terrain that requires 4x4 and 6x6?

    Request M35A2 Retrieval info

It's not a lot of fuel, it's a lot of pressure. If you don't have the injectors on for resistance, there won't be any pressure. The plunger in the middle of the hydraulic head is what pushes the fuel, so that little cylinder full is it.

    Request M35A2 Retrieval info

Maybe some grease on the threads on reassembly. Anti seize might plug stuff up...?

    Request M35A2 Retrieval info

Good vid. Once the injectors are on you should have 3000 psi. If you can't rig up a a gauge, I've read the rule of thumb is the injector out of engine should shoot fuel 3-4 feet. Caution: skin piercing pressure.

    Deuce not getting fuel

No luck yet? Try the member map?

    Request M35A2 Retrieval info

Pressure is only high in the injector lines after the hydraulic head ("fuel distributor")

Anyone interested in heavier duty hydraulic head button retaining clips?

Still fiddling with bending die designs. Not as easy as hoped and got too busy to give full attention.

    Making a compression tester adapter?

Q, gimpy is your guy...has knowledge and parts at very reasonable prices, good guy! Rusty, Floridianson, and others are very knowledgeable too. Gents, I may be traveling to visit my brother near where Q is located and lend a hand on repairing or replacing the engine. Any and all opinions as...

Anyone interested in heavier duty hydraulic head button retaining clips?

Maybe the plunger sticks up and the next time the cam comes around, it hits the button on the side and knocks it off.
