Bobing an A3. 450 sand trail tires

I'd love to try some since I run in sugar sand dunes, but wish they were a little smaller.

Bobing an A3. 450 sand trail tires

I looked at some at my surplus tire guy's once. Sand Trails have a thin flexible sidewall. Should be much better (float) on sand. For some reason I have 30mph limit stuck in my head.

...and then re-safety wire the screws so they stay put in their loosened condition. I'm one of the resident A1 nerds, would like to see pics of your truck. I have a '62 Stude that was missing the data plates, so I had lots of fun figuring out what it was. Does it still have the LDS-427 engine...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

That's on the back of the trans. Threaded hole is blind and is to pull that pin, shouldn't leak from the hole, maybe around the pin.

On the other hand, short trips aren't particularly good for diesels either, ha! I try to get it out on the highway and up to temp at least once a week.

Not necessary I f you don't run it long or hard enough to get it hot. I daily drive mine half the year when the weather is nice, mostly short hops to and from work. I let it warm up til the buzzer goes off and only bother to let it cool very long if I've gotten it good and hot.

Smooth, quiet running deuce - why?

I'd like to run 60 at not more than 2250 or so. Lots of long, flat, straight, open roads here.

Smooth, quiet running deuce - why?

Very cool. Your truck is how I want to build mine. What RPM/MPH do you cruise at?

Smooth, quiet running deuce - why?

Hung out with a deuce buddy today. He has a '90 Toole rebuild with D Turbo that runs really smooth and quiet. Way more so than his '87 D Turbo (needs valves adjusted), my '70 LDT w/ C turbo and fuel turned up, valves adjusted, my '62 LDS w/ big turbo and valves adjusted, or my beater '66...

Have you tried Waterloo specialties? I got 2nd and main from him (m35 Tom) very reasonably priced.

Putting Straight Vegetable Oil Directing into Tank of M35A2

I normally run pump diesel. How much oil should I be adding for lubrication? Thanks

Putting Straight Vegetable Oil Directing into Tank of M35A2

I just got offered a bunch of new cooking oil. Would it require special seals in the fuel system/IP?

    1953 v-17a/mtq maint & tel.const. w/wn

There's one in the trucking yard next to my shop, as well as a compressor truck. They've been donated to the Patton Museum at Chiriaco Summit, CA, but still need transported there.
