Slow down, use punctuation and spell check (it's hard to understand exactly what you mean). You want a title without going through the government? Good luck with that... I suppose that you could print off your own "title," but then "the government" sure won't appreciate your taking it upon...
I'm up in Bemidji, and talked to a gentleman who has an M37 and several Jeeps that run in our 4th of July Parade every year. This past year, he ran his new Jeep, with MG mount empty (He left the semi Ma Deuce at home). The Sheriff asked why the MG mount was empty, and the gentleman said he...
Non-MV related, but is there anyone who would be able to give me a quote on transporting a 1949 International KBS-6 (1.5 ton) truck from West Fargo, ND to Bemidji, MN? Truck has a curb weight of ~ 8-10,000 lbs, is 24 ft. long, has a wheelbase of 15 ft., is 7 ft tall and 8 ft wide. It has a large...
Well, we were able to go out and buy that family car yesterday, so the time for my first MV is close... Check out my ad in the "vehicles wanted" section and lets get me my first MV!

If you can't make Iola, Superior is the following Saturday. Only the second year, so not sure how big it'll be, but I plan on being there...

This one just showed up on Craigslist ~ an hour and 45 minutes from me. The ad says:
Obviously, it's missing the tailgate, which is problematic. I'm going to make a call to try to get a picture of the engine. Other than that - any opinions?
Yeah, the more I think about it, it's more of a project than I'm willing to take on.
There is another M37 near me that I've called about, but not heard back on. More complete, and more money... Listed as a '52 or '53. This one runs and drives. "Some gauges work." Opinions? How much would you pay?
I started to feel that way when I noticed the non-stock engine. However:
Would you still feel that way if the asking price was $850, and I might be able to talk the guy down a bit?
Got a few more pics from him, and talked to the guy. He replaced the engine and transmission (it was missing when he got it) with "one from a plow truck." I emailed back to see exactly what's in there now - unless someone here can identify it on sight. He hasn't started it since putting it in...
So what do you guys think of this 1953 M37 near me? Does the "Power Wagon" emblem on the hood mean it is a civilian version? I've got a call in to the owner and am waiting to hear more - i.e., does it run, etc... Will report back soon.
Ha! I sat in that M37 the other day, and once I struggled to hit the clutch, all I could think about was not being able to get to it in an emergency or in the woods...
I'd really like to get a M37, but when I sat in one for the first time earlier this week, I had a terrible time operating the clutch pedal. I should note that I'm 6'7"... I could get my toe on the pedal, but sliding my foot up to press it was quite a chore because my knee was hitting the...
Like I said in my first post, I would want something I could have fun with. Not sure that I want to do a full restoration - but I am willing to work on what I acquire. I've got a former Marine buddy who is able to help me work on what ever I get. I should have taken a picture of the Mutt the guy...
 That's not what I wanted to hear. I've crept up in what I'm willing to pay for my first MV from ~ $2000 to maybe near $4000, but no way I'm willing (or able) to go $10,000. I just don't know what to do... :?
