Nice story but unlike a boat I spend much less on my deuce than my old truck! I am forced to do all the work myself because I don't trust any one else to do it as most local mechanics are not familiar with these trucks. I always tell myself that they were designed to be maintained by young army...
Contract No. the middle number is 70 which means the contract to build that truck was issued in 1970 so if you don't know the year then the oldest it could be is 1970.. As a newbie just keep reading on this site. I was one about 3 years ago and now I am not afraid of taking anything apart on...
Finally fixed and remounted my gas tank on the deuce. Another botched job from the guy who bobbed it. He mounted it too low with not enough bolts so it broke off. Now I have better clearance and better bolts! Had it strapped up since Sept 13, nice to see it fixed now..

I picked up there once and it was a great experience for me. Someone made off with my roof rails for my M1102 and the guy grabbed me another set that was around. I did have the pic of the one I bought that showed it had the roof rails, (at least that's what I call them).
They were really...
Can't find any in Oregon? Sounds like allot of work/cost unless it's really really cheap. I just checked Craigslist and there are some here and there in Oregon..
If it were me, I would wait for something closer.. Even if you got there and all looks good, there is still the drive back, and...
Ditto, did you run a separate ground wire for the LED's? I have a set that I didn't install yet and the guy that sold them to me gave me a ground wire for each as well and told me they needed that to work properly.
