Spelling? The title says Wrecker Bed.. I think you meant to post Wrecked Bed. I will enjoy seeing how you bring this thing back to life..
Best of Luck and Merry Christmas!
I am humbled that my write up is in a file on the other side of the pond. It was my way of trying to give back a little to this site which I have learned and continue to learn so much from. Thanks!
Truck looks great. Is it flat black? Hard to tell by the pic. If you decide to get more of a green addiction, you're lucky as you're close to two of the best GL bases in the Northeast for trucks, genny's etc. in my opinion. I have been to both Ft Mead, MD and New Castle, DE recently for more...
See if you can find the Contract # on one of the data plates. That's how I determined the approx. year on mine. For example if the contract No reads 12345 - 73 - 6789, the contract for the truck was issued in 1973 so that's the oldest it could be. The middle two digits are the year the...
Well if you want to drain it out, you can use a siphon pump or open up the bottom of the primary fuel filter and let it run out as the pump is running. That may take a while though. If you think the quality of the WMO is OK then I would add a gallon of Gas to it and stir up the tank and then...
Or just add some gas to the motor oil to thin it out a little if thickness is the problem. I run a mix of WMO and gas and she starts up fine. Your fuel filters are not clogged and your fuel pump is running correct?
One I bought from a guy had a 1" hole drilled in the sidewall, I knew that purchasing it as I wanted the rim it was on. So that one is going on my son's swing set. Any tires you purchase from GL should definitely be inspected.
It's a parking lot. Now if I was on a public road then OK yes. This did happen to me once before when I was doing donuts in my 82 Volkswagen rabbit in the Friendly's parking lot back when I was like 16.. Since it wasn't a public road they couldn't do anything.
Oh Awesome!! I saw that one on GL and was hoping it was going to someone here. Can you please share pics of when you get it up and running, I am assuming that's what you are planning.. That was a sweet deal you got.. hope there is not too much that it needs..
I just got off the phone with Tech Support, he said no problem keeping them hooked up together, however they would get more individual attention if hooked up separately. For example if you had batteries of two different ages. Either way it's OK. Mine are the same age/make so I think I'll keep...
I was using my 2 BatteryMinders (12V) connecting each battery separately and disconnecting the short cable between the two just to be safe, but reading on here it appears that you can keep it connected.. If that's the case I was planning on connecting some quick disconnect pigtails to each...
I put mine between the seat and the door. Works great, easy to see and easy to fill.
I especially like the fact that if I am at a stop sign or something and the brake feels a little soft, I can take a quick look back and see the brake level.
Yeah I had the same issue sounds like you need to rebuild your airpack.. check out a thread I put together on the rebuild so you know what you are getting into.. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?82753-MY-Airpack-Rebuild-with-Photos!
