What they have in service and what they have left to sell are two different things. I have seen M37s on GL a few years ago, they have been out of service for 40 years, but still had a few kicking around somewhere.
Every body needs to go back and read the terms of sale contract again. I can see why GSA and GL are sending out these read the term of sale letters. Apparently nobody read it prior to accepting the terms.
There is no grandfather clause when it comes to a contract sale like buying a deuce from...
Cosmoline does not come off. The military actually quit using it and has switched to vacuum packaging small items because it is too hard to remove.
I had an old Springfield rifle that was still packed in Cosmoline. I spent several years trying to clean it off so I could use the rifle. It looked...
tick toc tick toc; I can't help but think about it. I even have the driveway cleaned out all ready:roll:
I should have run a small item through EUC years ago, but I am not sure that would help, NHdiesel is on his 4th EUC, but first on a truck and he is up over 40 days.
No there was a pretty good mix. They did not differentiate in the listings between fuel fired and water heaters, (one truck I bought was listed as having a "personel heater", The other was not listed as having heat at all but it does) you had to physically look at them to see what they were. I...
Ditto: Bar and chain oil is designed to stick to the chain and lubricate at high rpms. It works great to prevent rust on vehicle. Just put it in a pump sprayer an if it is too thick dilute with diesel or kero. Spray on once per year.
I haven't tried linseed oil but I priced it and at 8.00 a...
Has it ever occurred to anybody that we could start selling vacation packages?
Ever dream of spending a week in the life of a Military Repair Technician. Here is your chance, for just a low price of 2000.00 per week you can live the dream. We will locate a truck anywhere in the country, fly in...
Yes I found them, but I had to go by the bumper number, neither of mine had the lot number on them. The one was not hard to find because it was the only one that was drop side cargo bed without a canopy.
The other I had to pretty much roll by and glance at the bumper number on every canopied...
I was out there around 10:00 I was the guy driving up and down in the little gray civic hybrid trying to figure out why most of the trucks did not have the lot number written on them. I was glad I had written the bumper numbers down.
One of mine has a wooden back door.
The amount of oil sitting in that rim can be deceiving. The guy running around in the Hmmve said that these trucks have been lined up out there for several months and with the truck tipped to that side a very small leak will look very large after a bunch of time.
He also said that every one of...
Thanks, I actually get that all the time. I am the local guru on honey bee removal in this area and often when I show at a job people always say they were expecting an older guy.
My trucks both checked out other than functioning turn signals. Although 6943 didn't have quite enough juice to...
I am printing off sold signs to stick to the windows of my trucks:razz: Maybe it will deter people from stealing parts or siphoning off the leftover fuel.
I guess I could be called a KY boy too, but I am going to put in my 2 cents too. I am anti-plug in heaters because I had a truck burned to the ground by one that shorted out. My preferred method in really cold weather is to aim a salamander heater under the block for about a half hr before...
Dodgeman: you have any pics you can send me?
A blower on a deuce could probably be powered off of PTO with a hydraulic pump and motor, but the cost of set up would be prohibitive. A pony motor right on the blower would be the cheapest and easiest setup.
