Another round of hoses is complete. I forgot to post a couple of steps.....
after the hose burst in May I had the six main lines replaced and the swivels that attach to them rebuilt. At which point I had issues with my fuel cutoff. After I took care of the fuel cutoff (thanks again Bjorn) I...
At full hydraulic extension the hook height should be about 30 feet (need to measure).
I have not put together a hook mount for the manual extension yet, but it should add 5' to the total.
I use ospho, followed by rustoleum rusty metal, then paint
depending on oh you use it the ospho may scale or leave a chalky surface. I use a wire brush then a dry cloth to remove it prior to primer scotchbrite pads would work too.
another group of hoses are ready to be installed...

I have one of the sand blaster pressure washer deals and like it, but I would be very hesitant to use it on an assembled truck. it works pretty well, but makes a huge mess. unless you have access to every surface of whatever you are working on you will end up leaving some wet sand stuck to the...

I imagine the remotes are out there, but you'll either need luck or deep pockets to get one.
you could mount a jumbo concrete block(roughly 2'x2'x5" & 4000lbs) on one of these and then chain bind it down.
