Shouldn't we be talking about departure angle? also if you hang weight off the rear of the deuce it will change the balance in ways that would make for some interesting times should you climb a slope that is at the edge of what a deuce is capapble of.

The swivel and hook was actually part of a sling assembly for a "gas generator.It looks like it might have been used once. I just disassembled it and uncoiled the cable it is 1/2" diameter 45' long one end is looped the other has a 1" eye on it.
According to the manufacturer (crosby) this one (5-s-1) has a working load limit of 5 metric tons (11000 lbs) and is Individually Proof Tested to 2 times the Working Load Limit. Ultimate Load is 5 times the Working Load Limit.

One of the lift cylinders leaks and there is a leak in the swivel. I plan to replace the o-rings in the swivel and the hydraulic lines that run from the swivel up the boom while I have them off.

I brought the steel home and tacked the top spacers together. I also marked the side plates for cuts necessary to make them match the side profile of the spacer. I'll be dropping these off for welding tomorrow (it's all my welder can do to tack this 1/4" stuff together)
I am looking at buying some nylon straps from a business close to Miramar MCAS, but the vendor doesn't want to ship (and gave me a very high quote when I asked). Is anyone close by that could pick them up, box and ship them to me?
