I have looked in both places, but the only sprockets I have found with a tapered bore seem to be designed for use with a bushing that clamps on to a a non tapered shaft. I wish I could pull the tank into the frame like that, but I will need the gap between tank and frame to pass mounting bolts...

since the question has been answered... here is how I removed mine.

no difference in steering effort from sprag to air shift, but differences due to tire pressure are definitely noticeable.

If the sprag is working correctly it is one less thing to think about/ deal with while driving (especially if there are sudden/unexpected changes in traction). I actually swapped out a sprag t-case for an airshift in my truck when I couldn’t get the sprag to function. That being said I would...

I thnk it would only hurt the sprag if you were applying power while the front is locked up. Given the choice I would take a functional sprag over an airshift unless front lockouts are in your future.

In my ongoing search for a hydraulic tank (for the deuce) I found a tank on line listed as 20 gallon HMMWV. Did the hydro winch use that big of a reservoir? some other system? or did this guy just assume surplus + flat green =HMMWV ?
