Loading dock will work for loading the duece, a ditch might work too. When I had to load two 818s on mine, we found a construction site where there was dirt piled and I drove them right on.

I pull over 80k out of the field in low range then shift up thru 5th gear hit the clutch, pull the transfercase into high and shift down to 4th. If you shift fast (which is the point to keep your rpm up) you can have a couple hundred more rpm than you would just shifting 3 to 4th in high range...

IF it is an 817 than it will have a large air cleaner on the drivers side fender(outside the hood) If it is on the pass side it is not a 817. 817 should be a 5 ton dumptruck

I bought the ebay one before I saw your offer J. Thanks for the links its always nice to have a paper manual to look at. Im going to drive mine home from sd 200 miles:-D I havent checked my 915 mileage yet but I bet bobtailing it would get 7-8 mpg. At least better than 3mpg.

btw my m915 redlines at around 70mph(2100rpm) I dont think 100 is possible with the 915

Ive been using the m35 m109 and 818 pulling 447 for planting this spring. The m35 has a 1800g water tank in it and pulls a m105 with chemicals for the sprayer. M109 and m818/447 have been storing corn seed in a waterproof setting and bringing the seed to the field for the planter. 447 worked...

I got my truck today for 4k. Another went for around 3800 and one for 4800. A friend of mine went to look at them and said the 6k one last week was the nicest and the 4800 one next and then mine.
