Look at the pictures I posted you will see a few wire connections . I'll add the schematic in a day or 2 it's a easy wire up. Mine has 100 amps of 12v and 100 amps of 24v with 2 120 amp auto rest brakers. I'll add some more pictures than as well.
The 1 in my m925a1 is a 24v but being it's a dual volt system on the m915-m920 12v should put out about 14v (mine does) then use the equilizer for the 24v side.
Lol I'll post the schematic soon it's easy. Another thought. Although not heavy duty a car style 200 amp 1 wire alternator are extremely cheap. And will fit with ease. I have 1 on my m925a1 not sure how much belt load they will take. BUT there everywhere and cheap. Use it with a equilizer and...
I don't know that I agree with that. If you look at a normal ac be it home or truck if the demand is there for cold . Than the compressor is on and so are the fans til the demand is met. The reason for cycling is the pressure switch is going out on low due to low freon pressure in the system...
Ahhhhhh that makes sence why his hasnt burned up yet he doesn't have enough freon to keep the fans running. He must have about 3 lbs in there to get it cycling.
Ok I think we should add a M915-m920 to help us look up information easier that is more along the same subject . Instead of having to also search thru the m939 and m800 series in hope to find the answers. The trucks and parts and info is very different between them.
This is correct ! It was the most feesable way of doing it at the time for me. For the most part wiring was very easy , and the parts are off the shelf units so nothing special. so if I broke down parts are a phone call away. the other advantage is 100 amps of both 12v and 24v which allows me...
I could be wrong but I thought he had plans to mount it. I don't believe he actually did the install yet. I'm sure with some modifictions you could mount 1 on. My setup was a straight bolt in. I honestly don't think 50 amps would cut it. But he is rewiring his truck anyways so I'm sure he will...
Its to long from what I remember . The other is the m915 - m920 are dual voltage. 95% of the truck is 12V . If it would fit you would need a large battery equalizer for all of the 12v .
ok Here is more info, The Alternator is a Leece 4863pjbrm It fits like a glove with about 1/4 inch to spare. I was told it came off of some sort of a ambulance. I bought it 2nd hand like new and took it to a local electric shop. The went thru it and tweeked it, It no longer uses the transformer...
Had my power switch go bad in my m35a3 it wasca, odd thing. It worked until you hit a bump then the truck would turn off it drove me nuts til I found out it was the power switch .
Ok I got some time today between rain showers and took some pictures of my setup. I have a leese Alternator that just fits in the hole. You see the part numbers on it in the pictures.
