    Wet stacking after startup

O.K., re-read the thread. I do agree to let it idle for 5 minutes before you shut down. That is extremely important. I was referring to the start up cycle. I back down on my advice for anyone in a cold climate with regular oil in the sump. Sorry, but this is Texas and it's generally plain...

    Wet stacking after startup

All post so far are in cold climates. Understood. It's hot here. It's all about pumpability. And by the way, I tore down the Other guys' engines.

    GL wants my Deuce back

It's not a standard M35A2. It's a radio truck of some sort. It has lots of guages...

    Wet stacking after startup

Oh, forgot, once you get pressure, THEN let it just idle on a multifuel. Lubes the turbo.

    Wet stacking after startup

I personally disagree with the decals. High idle the thing to get the oil pressure up. Especially with 2, yes 2, dry upside down canister filters. This gets the filters filled faster and pressure lubes the assembly. I know there will be disagreement, but whatever, I've torn down lots of...

    GL wants my Deuce back

I'm telling you guys, they're not coming after anybodys trucks. Relax. Just a small glitch with somebody at DOD. Or whomever.

best way to clean out fuel tank?

I just had my original tank coated with this by a very professional radiator shop here in ELP ; they did a jam up job. Red Kote is the way to go. It is an aviation tank coating. Having fun painting the exterior of the tank earlier today. The solution to get to the left part of the tank as...

I wonder why they pulled all the m35a2s

O.K. I hate mispelled words. I should have said: Check your watch.

    GL wants my Deuce back

Savage Sam--please refer to my post #115, concentrate on the "render" part, and execute. Don't give up your truck. I personally think it's ok for now. For the rest of our site members, there is no recall of M35A2 trucks and none is anticipated. Now or in the future.

I think you're done there. Just clutch it next time; don't get excited.....and send me some antenna.....

    Couple questions about the Deuce

You have to have an Mt-1 specification. Elsewise, you have a possible gear oil which can corrode the bronze bushings in these huge trans and transfer cases. I personally purchased GL-1 Mineral Oil from Napa, (sorry I dont have the part #) and it's the real deal. There are some posts on this...

    SF-97 procedures

O.K.; I contacted GL today with chat; I submitted my request for Sf-97 on 9-29-09 and they stated thay it takes (approx) 30 days for the title to hit my mailbox. Emphasis supplied. That's what I know at this point.

    Couple questions about the Deuce

number9--use the TraveLLer SAE 90 Gl-1 in your pic. Do not use the GL 5 85W-140 from what I see. You'll be fine with the Mineral oil. Secondly, all of the Plugs for your running nomenclature use a 1/2 inch drive to remove. In other words, just a raw one half inch socket drive or flex handle...

I concur with M16ty in everything he said. And that's all I got to say 'bout that.

    Deuce and a half trailers

Does the M105 bounce around alot behind a Deuce? I take it it's not an 'Air Ride' trailer.

    GL wants my Deuce back

SavageSam--Having read all of the posts here, try getting specific with them (GL) as to why they want it back; perhaps you could find the specific item and gut it out of the truck and "render" it to them. IMHO you would be entitled to any funds you have put into the truck (what you got in it)...
