Well that brought me up to speed. I presume after centrifuging, you can just then fill 'er up. But what about water in the pre-centrifuged fuel/oil whatever? Or do you have to get rid of the water prior to centrifuge process?
Okay, I admit it, I'm a neophyte to this centrifuge thing. Just what exactly does a centrifuge do for you that a good pump hooked up to a series of filters in series won't do for you.
It's time for a Jatonka set up. I plan on doing it soon with mine for the oil filter. But if not, then possible a corroded canister container (jagged) which does not seal right. In other words, the can over the filter has a corroded edge not sealing right. Check it out.
Why can't these adventures happen where I'm at. I'm just dying to Recover something. Help out a fellow member.....Oh well. It'l happen. Seriously, glad you made it home Trailboss.
I've got access to lots of steel. And yes, I'd prefer just to buy one 'cause I've got plenty of other stuff to work on. But I'm not going to go mickey mouse. A Deuce weighs somewhere in the vicinity of 7 tons, so I want to tow it right. A nice diagram of how the tow bar hooks up would be...
Picking up this towbar thread again....I ask if anyone has some dimensions in spec for the construction of a towbar for one Deuce to haul another Deuce. Having never done this, I assume you need a towbar that connects to the rear pintle of the towing Deuce to the front "D" rings on the front...
Why is it I have to constantly log back in? I'm getting automatically logged out after a time period of under 10 minutes, if say, I type a PM. Or if no activity. It's frustrating. Is there a setting I need to change, or is this just funky normal for the site?
That's simply incredible they go to that length of investigation..... I think after reading this I'll just stick with regular diesel and go forward with my used motor oil filtering project.
Put my spin on fuel filters on the Deuce last night, and boy, was I glad I did. The cartridge filters had rust and just a ton of nasty. Probably saved my engine. Thanks to JaTonka for a great product.
Anybody that even attempts to give me trouble over what I run in my Deuce is going to have a nasty tea party problem on their hands, as I dont run off road diesel in my deuce, just waste oil. The day they try to tax that is the day we need a rally in D.C. All of us.
I can only speak for Texas, but usually, they are looking for a red dye in a truck or whatever is being driven on a public road. If they find red, they can actually seize your vehicle. I carry lots of Marvel Mystery Oil with me just in case; never had a problem. Texaco diesel is clear...
Yes, it is all relative to the charge and time of shut down of the charge, and the status of the plates. Having said that, I remember my best battery blow up was about 1977 when I was working with an electrical forklift, with a bunch of dumb@$$es who liked to smoke and continued to fire off...
I could sure use some seal on the front windows. I'm so used to hot weather, then the front came down, and the windshield wipers dont work, and then....oh well
There have been checks in Texas, but those said checks have been long lost. We have bigger fish to fry....like border incursions....etc....and hey, I would love to have some highly sulphurous diesel fuel. Sulphur exists in diesel as a lubricant and is very slippery.. The Deuce injection pump...
HUH??????
Why......pray tell........would you have to have the stop pulled out??????
I'll take an educated guess here that you dont want it to fire over with a socket or whatever on the damper?
Suppose you want to run a high power C. B. radio in your Deuce....What would be a military compatible antenna you could use? One that looks like it belongs on a Deuce? (I don't want a 102" whip from J. C. Whitney) Wouldn't look right.
