I did a bunch of reading in the search function here before I messed with mine. You will find pictures and diagrams in the "bypass FDC" threads that are helpful to your question. I was bypassing my leaking FDC which brought me to the rest of the fuel metering and droop screw info.
The droop...

I was at Amtrak's Wilmington shops for a class in the '90's. There was a locomotive (F40) there that was used for employee testing that sat idle for ages never having been out on the road working a load in who knows when. Well...a couple of morons with just a tiny amount of knowledge got to...

Here is the link which should give you many options.
Doghead, moderator, I did read it and I've been paying my own way since I was younger than he is. Someone will insure him, it may cost more than you...
Please see the "search" function of this site, there are tons of threads on how to insure these vehicles and even one thread that has current prices we are paying. :deadhorse:

Never pre-fill the filters...you are putting unclean fuel into the cannisters which will go straight to the injection pump and injectors. There are very fine tolerances in the pump and injectors, thus, three sets of filters. You should install the filters dry, open the small bleeder on top of...
The primary works as a water seperator as well, that's why it is deeper than the filter in it. The petcock on the bottom should be opened with the in tank pump on and fuel drained into a clear container to see if you have water. I just use an old cut off water bottle but anything like that will...
Yes on the inspection if over 4,000 pounds, but..... If you register an M105 trailer with the empty wieght of 2750 and load capacity of 1000, for a total of 3750 then... no annual inspection required. It's all in how you do the initial paperwork at the county tax office to tag it. I will never...
I used new zipper boots from Erik's and they seem to be very good quality. There is a PS article in the TM sections I think that has a step by step for changing them out without the full tear down you want to avoid. It advises putting the "adhesive" (read sealer) on the inside of the zipper then...
