Finally got my WMO pump assembled

I have a similar setup & it works great. I sometimes use it with a 1/2hp motor, but usually just w/ the 1/2" drill.

24v on hot side of Fuse Panel???

I hate to admit it, but it was idiot (user) error w/ the meter. Daylight, a clear mind (no beer), & a different meter yielded different results. These were much more in tune w/ what was expected. Still fighting the rotted wire / bad connection gremlins though!

M1008 / M1009 CUCV Oil Cooler Line Failure

I'm also very interested to see if they replace them!

24v on hot side of Fuse Panel???

I've used the meter many times before, but I had already planned to checking it tonight w/ my other meter to make sure I'm not smoking crack. Both of my meters are digital. I'd love to find that its just the meter & they didn't somehow double back the 24v side of things. I figure the 56v...

24v on hot side of Fuse Panel???

Come to think of it... Maybe my whole battery setup is dead wrong!!! Please keep in mind I just bought this & I'm new to CUCV's & diesels & I didn't wire it up this way. If I measure voltage across the outermost battery posts, I get 56v. If I measure between either of the outer posts & either...

24v on hot side of Fuse Panel???

Thanks Warthog, I'll have to check that one, something is definately wrong. Get this..... All fuses except the bottom one: 24v. The bottom fuse: 56v

    No Brake lights, horn??

My brake lights came back to life when i pulled the fuse panel loose & cleaned the terminals w/ electrical grade solvent & Q-tips. Just something to check...

24v on hot side of Fuse Panel???

I've been tracking down lots of wiring problems & found something odd last night. Besides the back of the fuse panel & the engine side plug all having black crud on the terminals, the right (hot) side of the fuse panel read 27v, where I would have expected 13.5v. Cleaning up the terminals...

Make it home on 1 alternator???

Good advice, Warthog. I'll cleanup things tonight. I did have to wiggle the headlight fuse again last night. I may have to bypass the fuse block for that circuit & install an inline fuse.

Make it home on 1 alternator???

I made it home just fine! I ended up having other electrical problems, mainly no power to head lights, horn, tail lights, etc. I think I have identified it though as being related to the 30a headlight fuse. I'm still worried about my alternators though. Gen 2 light comes on & eventually...

On way to buy 1st MV - M1009

Well, we made it home! I got a steal of a deal too, despite some electrical problems. It even drives nice & smooth @ 70mph. I'm really liking it. I'll take pics this weekend & get some posted. Its a nice truck, no rust through , engine sounds great, tranny shifts firm, beige paint, &...

On way to buy 1st MV - M1009

Wish me luck! :jumpin: I'm about to leave work early to go & hopefully buy a M1009. Hopefully it will make it home w/o any major troubles. I'm bringing the kitchen sink just in case. I just wish my other truck wasn't in pieces in case of major problems...? John O.

    Right brake grabs & locks

As mentioned earlier, I'd check & replace the flexible line if it looks old. You can't tell from outside, but they do often clog / collapse when old. If you do that, you might as well replace the wheel cylinder at the same time & take both pieces out of the puzzle.

Make it home on 1 alternator???

Great to hear! That was the impression I got from the FAQ's, but I thought I'd ask. I need a new battery for the boat, so I think I'll go ahead & get one & bring it along..
