Thanks, I would like to join, I too am in the process of getting my class B license, I am unsure of using my duece for the test vehicle though. I was planning on going to the last event but will not make this one either. I will keep looking at this thread for future events. I am located near...
RE: Re: RE: CTIS without the "C"
I have used both many times.
The Staun ones are better. Oasis ones require too much differential pressure to start, the Staun ones require only 3 lbs DP and with the pull on them, you can make them start manually if you like. You cannot start the oasis ones...
Done this, with offroad vehicle, used air hose, brass fittings, clip on air chucks, filled 4 35" tires from 0 to 30 psi in under 3 minutes using york style air compressor. I have detailed instructions on a different computer I can mail if someone wants them.
These trucks are great, but only for a short time.
I bought one for my kid and it fell apart, then I replaced it, and it happened again. Same problem. Im talking internal problems, not abuse. I took it back to Walmart 3 times and exchanged it. The end result was I was out $100 and the last...
Are the covers the same on the 2-1/2 ton trucks? Same question, what is the going price and where might be the best place to get one on the West Coast?
Linda,
I do not see the background to this thread but I would like to suggest you look into the topic of registrations/licensing related to California in the forum. Save yourself the trouble I have seen.
RE: Brake parts
Thank you all, not so much to worry about, seems easy. Would most suggest if it aint broke, dont fix it approach. I only have 1 that is leaking.
How much time and what is the difficulty level of changing the wheel cylinders, I have a leaking one, I am very mechanically inclined, but am sort of dreading the unknown.
RE: Re: RE: 6 Wheels vs. 10 WheelsthereT
Very interesting, My thoughts are as you have noted Duals/Redundancy are always beneficial, even on a normal pickup truck but drive and steer different, then add an additional dual axle, now we hop and jump in tight turning situations. NO big deal...
RE: Re: RE: 6 Wheels vs. 10 WheelsthereT
This is great, many good pieces of information. It really is making me lean towards moving towards singles on my 9 x 20's until I can find larger ones near by. Right now, my duece has 6 brand new tires and 4 old ones it makes sense to go to singles...
There are many posts regarding different wheels. Can we discuss what the Pros/Cons of moving from 10 wheels to 6 wheels. Is there a benefit of flipping the hubs and running 9 x 20 wheels in a 6 configuration?
If you are not looking to be "original" I have done some initial research to convert 2 spring seats to a single bench seat using the spring bases. It appears the rear fold seat out of a 97 Ford F250 extended cab can be easily modified to to fit across both suspension seats for the bottom and...
Well that makes sense, I suppose I should just sell the Ether kit since I probably will never use it here where I live. Im leaning towards the Regulated injection with valve now.
Im not sure how the Ether kit works, or if the setup is regulated, I would imagine it is. You can get propane bottles exactly like the ether bottles. I screwed a propane bottle on the mount for looks but I really havent tried to activate the ether switch when driving. I understand the...
