I was just wondering, if the hype about how reliable the Deuces are, is really warranted or not. I am not talking about abusing them, like driving in waist deep mud. I was thinking more about general use. Like, go to point A, pick up a bunch of hay, go to point B and unload hay, repeat. Do they...
General, I found this cold start system to be extremely easy to work on and diagnose. It is not at all like doing the hard stuff, like engine rebuild.

:jumpin: :beer:
A while ago I mentioned that my "measured shot" ether cold start system was not working.
I worked on this some last night and fixed it.
First I found out that it was a mechanical (as opposed to electrical) issue. If 24v is supplied to the valve, nothing would happen.
I took...
I bid on 95% of stuff without previewing and I bid low. I was rarely disappointed. But by its nature, it is a crapshoot. Bidding low ensures that all surprises are good surprises.

I hope that I do not disappoint purists. I bought a M105A2 trailer BED and made a trailer out of it, three years ago. It seems to be holding up pretty good.
A month ago I bought another M105A2 for the sole purpose of getting the bows to cover my trailer.
Here are some pics.

Whether current goes up, or down, at reduced voltage, DEPENDS ON THE LOAD.
For resistive loads, that follow Ohm's law, the current indeed is proportional to voltage.
For AC motors, the current goes up as voltage is reduced.

Nehog, you can see these furnace heating coils here:
EDIT: The links posted here are dead.
I can mount them in front of that 1/3 HP fan and just blow air at them. Right?
So I have this MEP-006A:
and I am wondering just how much single phase (120/240) I can get out of it. I understand that it is 120/208. But maybe I can adjust the voltage up a bit to 125/216 volts, so that both 125v and 240v loads would be happy?
If so, how many kW can I get out of it...
1) See my manuals at
Military Generators ==> MEP 003A
2) Slave receptacle is a military jumper cable for jump starting
3) Slightly noisier than average
4) Air cooled IIRC
5) 1,800 RPM
1) See my manuals for MEP-003A at
Military Generators ==> MEP 003A
Feel free to download, print, share, and republish.
2) Slave receptacle is a way to jump start military equipment from a running vehicle. Think of it as a military jumper cable.
3) Not hard to separate
4) They are as noisy...
Actually bleeding of the fuel system takes 5 minutes and is described on page 152 of this manual:

Like you, I wasted a lot of time until I found that page 152. Mine was empty of all fluids.
