thanks guys. I think that 2800 lbs is about right. A couple of them came up for sale at our military base. I think that I am going to pass due to questionable condition and the fact that they are not on wheels, so hard to move around.
Also,
Just to share, it is a little OT, but I recently...
Thanks!
Also, not only that, but Free Military Army Manuals! (liberated manuals) encourages you to SHARE the manuals and repost them as widely as possible, to free them up from the dirty hands of file and CDROM sellers.
:)
What I personally did is, I started with M105A2 bed (just a bed), and added a frame and regular 6k lb trailer wheels underneath.
I had this trailer for 3 years and I am very happy with it.
Look here for pictures:

Regarding your own situation, I would...
After more of the above, and some bad language, the adaptor DID COME OUT!!!
Hoorah!
Now that it is out: should I, perhaps, grease the tapered surface before reinserting it upside down?
On the one hand, the grease will prevent further rust. On the other, perhaps it will prevent the surfaces...
Well, with a lot of pressure from the back (the nut), and mighty blows with a 30 lb sledgehammer, Shell Alvania EP grease in all points of contact, and penetrating oil, still no go.
I will try once more.

No luck :-(

I do not have the room to swing a hammer, unfortunately.
I will try the same thing as I did, again (nut pushing on steel blocks), but this time with Shell Alvania EP grease on the thread and where the nut touches the steel plate. Additionally, I sprayed some penetrating oil where I could, but...
I have a trailer with a genset on it.
I was trying to flip the pintle on it so that the lunette ring is a few inches lower.
To that end, I unscrewed the nut, and then I tried to use the same nut to push the pintle out...
I recently opened a website liberatedmanuals.com, with all tech manuals available for free.
The manual you need, I think is here:
http://www.liberatedmanuals.com/TM-9-6115-670-14-and-P.pdf
Feel free to copy it or repost elsewhere.
I opened this website to kill the CDROM and PDF selling mafia.
My opinion only, but for a small generator like this, any two batteries will work. Maybe get a little longer battery cables, welding cables work especially good for this.
Congratulations with getting a generator set on trailer.
Also thanks for citing my website igor.chudov.com.
Two months ago, I became so pissed at PDF sellers of free manuals, that I created a new website: Free Military Army Manuals! (liberatedmanuals.com).
I have all army technical manuals...
