I have a two case pluribus light kit and have no information for it/them. They are the long string lights in two wooden cases per unit (i think there are two cases/set). Anybody have any info on these? Not a standard 110a plug. Are these three phase? or multiple phase? Can I use this on...
Dealer plate magnets work best. No drilling and they hold really well to the back of a deuce. Never had a problem with law enforcement or inspection either. Get them at Gallagher Promotional Products (google that name). Like 5 bucks a piece. I've got like 15 of them. I even rigged up a...
John,
I noticed your side racks aren't all the way down. Are they stuck? I got a new, and I mean new, M105 and tried to put sideracks from another 105 on, and the posts get stuck in the sockets. Just wondering if you are having same problem.
Good looking truck. Have you checked cruising...
I consider the handle a way to fine tune the brake. To adjust outside the range of the handle, you need to find the lever on the drum under the truck. Might be able to see it between cab and cargo bed, but to adjust, you need to sit under the truck.
Well, we tried. We left York around 6. Got all the recovery items ready ahead of time, so we stopped for gas and coffee and were on our way by 6:30. Decided to go down the way we were to come home which is a back way. Mixture of two land, and 4 lane minimal restricted access (non-highway)...
Thanks DM.
Call Charles (and only call him Charles) at 602-820-7883. It's his cell. Leave a message and he should get back to you. PM me for his e-mail address. Make sure you check in though. I was getting pretty close to the 14 day cutoff. He's a nice guy near as I can tell and from...
I'm recovering my 7th deuce, a M185A3, out of Richmond next Tuesday. Headwizard did give me some basic notes on the truck before I bid. Thank you very much!! First truck that I haven't previewed in person. Was lot #5851 out of Sale #3973.
I have two questions. Any chance someone else...
I'm heading down next week to Richmond. Not sure if Tuesday or Wednesday. I'll let you know. Also don't know how much time I'll have. but will keep you posted.

I didn't want to trim fenders and the like to fit taller tires that would make a difference.
As for the carrier, I'm I looking at numerically lower or higher going from 4:56 to 4:10 if that's what I end up doing? The split is right at 4:10/4:56 and I'm not sure what direction I'm going. Down?
Wanted to bump this thread to the top to avoid creating a new one. Can the ring & pinion gears offered on LMCtruck.com and/or chevyduty.com work in the diffs of a 1008? I'm looking at gearing the truck with 4:10 to get a better highway speed.
Also, I haven't had it on the open road much yet...
Ouch. I have a completely new 105A2 with LED lights and only had to give 220 total w/all fees. Pristine 101, 600 out the door. 1200 seems very high for a 105. Hmm, I think I would keep searching. They may be more scarce out there, but I think you can do better then 1200/600 respectively.

I've recently purchased a 1984 M1008 to add to the stable. I'll post pictures soon of the recovery. I have a few additional questions after reading many posts.
It seems as though for faster highway speeds I'm considering either bigger tires (such as those on the HMVV) or 4:10 gears. So two...
I did about have a cow, but knew it wasn't VVA, so no worries. I can't say enough good stuff about Jim and VVA. Every step of the way he's been very responsive.
What do you need from us?
Thanks for taking care of us Jim.

Hey guys, I'm heading out in the morning to recovery my first CUCV. It's a M1008 out of Mechanicsburg, PA. I'm much more familiar with the Deuce and what to look out for on a recovery. But have no clue with the CUCV as far as a "sticky" about recovering such a vehicle. I did preview and...
