Is there a ground going to the tail lights on a deuce? Or are they grounded through the truck. Or, maybe I should be asking if lights off a M105 are ground through the trailer?
I've been looking but can't determine.
I'm wiring up a Civy trailer tomorrow for Military lights so I can hook to either. So I'll have two harnesses. One civy, one military. I'll then plug in the civy connection to my military harness to get the brakes only. So I'll have the standard military plug on the trailer, and just back...
Eco here, your neighbor to the west. Your wife has no idea what she is getting herself into. 1 deuce quickly turned into 6 with 5 trailers and a bunch of other OD surplus.
I do have a truck for sale as CARNAC said that is PA titled and INSPECTED! Which is something I guess. More than...
Any idea what this was for? I took my multi-volt voltmeter out today and tested the female receptacles on one of my trucks. I wasn't coming up with this diagram. I'' go grab the diagram I made up and report back which receptacle I found for different purposes. I'll also test another truck...
I can't seem to find a good diagram that I can understand of the wiring for the trailer receptacle on a deuce. I need a shot showing me what prong is for what purpose. Is there such a thing? Searched and looked at the TM's a bit and didn't see what I was looking for.
Also, I have a trailer...
There is a trap door on the floor right in front of drivers seat. Remove screw, lift door. Vent hose goes to top of master cyl. remove that, then loosen and remove cap. Fill through small hole in floor of cab once door is open with long funnel.
Oil is either a bad break hose somewhere...
Yeah, didn't think it would be too hard to fab something up. But wasn't sure if correct adapters were out there.
If you google "Holland Fifth Wheel" it takes you almost right to a web page that contains the installation and owners manual for the two fifth wheels I have. Have a look for...
I mostly wanted the towbars and the boarding ladder, but when previewing thought the 5th wheels could be made to work. Could be wrong. I know they aren't for a deuce and compared them to what's on a 818 and they aren't the same either. They are Holland/Freightliner I think. Have no idea what...
Recently acquired two brand new towbars, two 5th wheel assemblies, a brand new boarding ladder, an a hydraulic cylinder. The two towbars and the boarding ladder were still in wooden boxes.
All were part of 1 lot of a recent GL auction. I just happened to notice them there a few weeks ago...
CARNAC is such a great guy. I didn't realize that he had been in an accident and that he was still trying to figure out a way to get up to me to retrieve his deuce and trailers. He was enlisting the help of others when I realized, that the easiest thing to do would be to deliver everything to...
Got a good friend here in the states who is from Rakops, Botswana. Usually gets back home for about a month every year. Hope someday to catch a ride with him. Can't answer any of your questions however. Would love to see photos of the CUCV in Botswana.

I took photos. I will post when I can. Uneventful trip, as it should be. She pulls really strong. Didn't even notice there was a 105 behind me. Always liked that truck. Glad it went to a better home. Thanks CARNAC for giving No. 2 a good home.
Oh, and welcome to the club!
I have all the usual noises with loose hood hinges, etc. I don't have the folding step, just the stationary one like the tailgate. I was worried it was something like the water pump or something.
Thanks guys.
Wanted to start some of the deuces today while doing snow removal. Started first one ok. Quick to start. I left the cab to let it idle while continuing with my chores and heard what sounded like an empty tin can rattling around in the front end possibly being hit by the fan. Quickly shut it...
I've seen your posts on this before and know that you've done a lot of research on the subject and thank you for that effort. I was still confused however on this subject and did my own research on PA law and was even more confused after reading the fact sheets and talking to PennDOT personnel...
