Welcome to the Dirt-Cheap-Dropside club!
Sounds like yours has an equally awesome story as mine! Yours was part of a swat team, mine was in Indiana Jones. I got my running drop-side for only $2500 :D
Correction, your a member of SS, there will ALWAYS be recovery vehicles available. Just saying.
I would think that if you can load the ass of the truck up with enough weight, then you would be better off with 6x6, but empty 4x4 would most likely take the win.
I fun thought for you, if you...
Instead of modifying the cab, you could also use two 45 degree angles in the front of your cargo cover to get some aerodynamics. Seems like it would look more "Correct" as a DEUCE, and would still be as functional, without loosing much interior space.
Either way, Im subscribed.
I have to comment, this could be SO MUCH WORSE.
When I was driving back from Cali in my Deuce without nearly enough test driving I kept having these terrible images of having to sell my truck to a tow company for the cost of a train ticket to get back.
However, it seems such a shame to let...
Im waiting on my EUC to clear on two M200A1s, so I will happily take measurements when I buy it.
I read a post where someone cut up one M200 to lengthen another, then put a deuce bed on it, resulting in one bad ass utility trailer. I may decide to do the same. If I do take this course of...
(This information is being tugged out of the back corner of my brain, double and tipple check it)
I believe the front axle of the Deuce has over 8,000lbs weight on it, so I doubt that you would loose much, I think you could still easily load 2 tons into the bobbed deuce with stock front springs...

He added a water methanol injection system to drop his turbo temp, and 395s to increase top speed. No matter what you do you will need a Pyro.
The basic...
Fascinating.... I was kinda in the camp of "I didn't know dirty coolant was bad" group of tards...
My old C20 has had obviously rusty coolant since I bought it (I flushed it so many **** times) and I would flush four of five times with water, then add coolant, a month later it was rusty...
Yes, but if you have to make a U-turn, or call a customer, forget it. >.<
I dont want to Hi-Jack the thread more than we have, but we do need to catch up! I want to hear how the bobbers brakes are doing.
Its 2:30 here, and Im slightly retarded. I dont understand though, is that just a site that updates with a list of currently for sale military truck parts?
Either way I found something I just cant live without :D
As far as alts going underwater, I will share my experiences from off-roading my XJ Cherokees, and my old K5. I have never killed an alt going through high waters. I have wondered if it took them a few mins to start charging again, but they always did. Thats of course not to say that they...
Had an awesome time! Brad's property is just something else. Maggie wasnt feeling too well, we almost didnt make it at all. It was awesome to meet some more of the local folks that share my MV Illness.
I was told I look nothing like my avatar, which makes me laugh.
Just when I had...
