I've got my own soda blaster for doing projects. What the guy told you is true. It does not create any heat, and it is not abrasive. The soda strips by exploding on contact w/ the hard surface. It will not take off any rust, so if that is an issue, use a different media.
The soda is also...
In my P/W I took off the wires to the alt. guage, and connected them directly. Bypasses the guages
Humvee rims will fit on the truck. Here is a site w/ some for sale they have 36" humvee tires also.

I'm using some stuff called black magnum for doing the inside and underside of a truck bed, and the bottom of the cab. The stuff is working really well and isn't making any noticeable heat. The place I bought it from said they use it on exterior sheet metal with great results.
Here is the link to my story, which was also posted in the second link Recovery4x4 posted.

If you haven't already heard or read about it, beware of using sand. If you breathe too much of it in you can get silicosis.
There are some really nice medias out there that work better than sand, and can be used on sheetmetal with some care also.
The more I read this thread and think about the subject, the more I think a 12v 5.9l cummins is the best swap.
Slide the fuel plate, maybe some injectors, and add a set of twins and an intercooler to keep the egt's in check. Should be more than enough for even a 5 ton truck.

If I could find one close and that wasn't too expensive, I'd be all over it.
Besides, swapping in an engine isn't all that big of a deal, I've done it before, just never on a large truck.
That doesn't seem to be that big of a task, besides the physical removal and install.
Do you need to modify the frame for a non mack multifuel?
Also, anyone know how much room is needed for a bigger cummins? Like in the 8 series trucks? Or is it possible to use 8 series front sheetmetal on...
Does anyone know what all is involved in swapping out a continental gasser to a multifuel? Is it as simple as just swapping in the multi and multi components? (I.E. fuel system, wiring, etc.) The exhaust I would probably do differently than a std. truck anyway so that is not a concern.
I'm...

Is anyone bidding on it? What does everyone think of it?
I'm trying to decide if I want to bid on it or not. I've had my heart set on a 5ton, but that has been changing lately. Just...
