M109a3 bad idea. almost 11' tall stock on 9.00x20s and flat on the sides. fall over like the tricycle on laughin (for you who are old enough to remember). at 55MPH stock on 9.00x20S don't guess wrong on the direction of the storm.
However, if you took a deuce (or a multi fuel 5 ton) and...
add motor oil
i have been told to add a quart of motor oil to every 10-15 gallons so you don't dry out you seals. i add 10 gallons to a tank of diesel of it is going to be below freezing (does not happen much).
2 or 3 years ago there was a locking fuel cap system on ebay. i don't remember exactly how it worked but, what i do remember you had to undo the front strap in the tank and use a pad lock.
there is also a real small trail camera that you could mount at an angle between the cab and bed up...
that would be awsome, i think you would need to tie into the rear trailer brake air line and put a gladhand connection on the front of the truck being towed. so when the front truck hits the brakes the trailer gladhand fires and the pressure hits the rear truck. sound easy when i type it...
on my passenger side jerry can holder with the locking strap, i think i am going to add a "trail can utility tool box". it was posted on the deuce add ons thread. since i removed the drivers side box seat and added a spring seat i lost that storage.
Under Deuce Add Ons some one posted an ad for a Jerry Can Shaped Toolbox by Rampage it is called "Trail Can Utility Tool Box". It fits in a jerry can holder and that would keep it from moving around. i contacted them to see if they made a military version and as of right now they don't, but it...
I contacted Rampage the Trail Can Utility Tool Box Company and asked if they made a Military Version of this and was told that it had been talked about, but as of now there is not one. If they ever get on this site they might start making them in OD Green.
sorry doghead and everyone else , i just get cranky when some talks to me like a child. i have 3 deuces and i am always on the lookout for parts, sometimes on here, sometime on ebay, and sometimes on the other 30 or 40 sites that i have on my favorites. i have spent many $$$$$$ on ebay...
be careful opening up railroad cars there is some nasty stuffin some of them. however some railroad cars carry corn and grain, and some carry coke (like man made coal). and box cars who knows?????
i don't know about CUCV's but on a deuce the two fuel cans on the front should give the people who like to move infront of me and hit the brakes something to think about.
1. Racky if "This is what happens with too much time and Jack!" you are suspose to drink the Jack.
2. wreckerman893 "Like married first cousins." i think more "Like the kids of married frist cousins"
3. the ambulance is way cool
one of the guys on here came up with a great idea for winches. his was on the front of the bed to load 4 wheelers but the idea is sound. he removed the handle and put a hex bolt and used his air impact to turn the winch. if you are changing a tire you most likely have it out anyway. i think...
i can't wait to explain to a leo why they is a 50 cal on the m-66. that should be fun. on my frist recovery i went with no tools and drive back from texarkana to port arthur, tx with a stop in louisiana. about 350 miles with no tools. not smart just lucky, ran out of fuel with the...
