the best tool is a towbar!!! connected to a vehicle about the same size. if the front vehicle breaks down, pull over, remove towbar from front of rear vehicle, install towbar on front of front vehicle, pull rear vehicle around and connect towbar to rear of new front vehicle and off you go...
guns behind the seat?
Behind the seat does not do any good. a pistol in the glove box, a shotgun and a rifle in the gun rack, and extra ammo behind the seat. :jumpin: oh yea, a cell phone in the pocket.
i keep seeing the new armored trucks on trailers traveling on i-10 all the time. i talked to a mechanic who gave me the scoop. they started delivering them by driving them to there new homes, here is the catch, most broke down before they got there. so they started trailering them. i have no...
plan 3.0 - go to harbor freight and get a truck bed crane it is small and mounts on the back passenger side behind the wheelwell and folds down inside the bed. get the 55 gallon drums like DokWatson, and somewhere i saw drum clamps to pick up drums from the top. you could carry 3 or 4 drums...
thank again warthog, you are like yota with all of your knowledge. may the force be with you. i said yota because i could not spell dolly lama.
happy new year.
thanks Warthog.
mktopside - i am changing to led's on my M109a3 and may have a M35a3 in the future, and i was trying to find out if they were interchangable. the mounts are not angled on the back like a M35a2, they are flat. the hummer lights are flat mount and that is why i was confussed.
i have no idea what to look for in the threads, so i will just ask. are the front turn signal lights on a M35a3 (that sit over the head lights on the finder) bucket mount, flush mount or a third option??
Recovry4x4, hurry up and wrap you head in foil before he steals anything else. just kidding foil does not work.
plan 2.0 - passenger side tank for ballance and an M101 with the extra fuel tank and extra stuff. when you are going to do something stupid just unhook the trailer, go do it, go...
thanks, i plan to make a trailer with either a m35 bed or and m109 box but have not got that far. just saw the thread yesterday where the guy was asking about the m109 box or some other box m2?? and someone posted this link. i have not really started the search. buy i will.
thanks, i have seen air lines freeze on the show "ice road trucks". i have a windshield washer kit setting in my living room/parts room. next to the arctic fuel burning cab heater, next to the arctic fuel burning M109 box heater, next to the next box of stuff and so on. aua
alcohol evaporatori have seen these for sale but did not know what it were for, and i think that you do since your put one on your truck. will you share this information with me?
about a month ago there was a complete set of magnetic plugs for a deuce on ebay, oil, differentials and i think one for the fuel tank. don't how much or who. saw them thought hmmmmmm, then went on looking for other stuff.
you may can get 2 smaller tanks and mount them side by side behind the cab so that if it does shift the one on the uphill side is still over the center of gravity, or go with a lower tank that does not set as high but is wider to keep the center of gravity down low?
was it another trailer or did you use a deuce frame? if you used a deuce frame what type of axles did you use (M105, dual tire axles from a genset trailer, or?????)? did you set it up with the airbrakes like an M105a2?
PS. Awsome trailer.
the plug up high behind the cab is power to the box and is not the same as the slave cable plugs (either two pin or nato) i think it is 110 volt. i am looking for one myself.
