My sons and I got to use the winch last Saturday after I slid my pickup sideways. I usually park my pickup by backing into the woods, but there is a bit of a sideways slant to the terrain, and I have to be careful not to spin the tires or the backend will go downhill. Last Saturday I was in too...
Changed the Fuel Filters yesterday, all 3, and it only took about
1 1/2 hrs. But that was after reading the TM's and searching this fantastic site to get tips from the experienced pros. Really appreciate all the expertise.
The filter change would have gone much quicker but the primary...
Deuce tires
I really apprecaite the great info on this site. Had my Deuce a year and need to start thinking about new tires. The originals will last awhile longer but not forever. If I go with singles on the rear, I will save money, but how does it pull? My boys and I take it off road some...
Welcome
Welcome, Kenny. I'm less than an hour west of you in Valdese, about 5 minutes from AMGeneral. It seems we have at least one other kenny out this way, or I'm experiencing Deja Vu all over again.
Anyway welcome. Hope to meet you soon.
Brian
After one year and only 1700 miles, I decided to change the oil in the Deuce. I bought Baldwin filters as suggested and when I went to put the new top gasket on, it was way too small. The parts store could not help me, card board crushed and squirmed out, so i put the old back on but I have a...
I'm sorry for being old and dense, but I have visited this required page multiple times and do not know what to do next to access the site.
What am I missing?
Thank you, Brian
weighted tag
Same thing here. I checked at the Morganton tag office when I registered my Deuce a year ago, and the manager said he has an antique fire truck that only has an antique tag on it. Unless you're running abusiness, the antique tag is all you need.

Homecoming parade
Tarheel,
Yeah, still around. Sorry I haven't been able to make any meetings. I wanted to get to Statesville and Conover, but there are always too many things going on.
See you soon, I hope.

No whistler; in fact no turbo at all, and at parade speeds there is no noise; we're just idling. But the smoke can be suffocating if I rev her up for effect.
As far as the "natural" look. I have 2 teenage boys at home and they won't let me keep it on the street. We often use the Deuce cross...
Got wood
That's a load!
How much weight you think you have there?
We cut wood to heat and sell the extra for a little extra cash, and I believe in teaching my 3 boys the value of HARD work. They have asked to fill the Deuce up with wood, but noone wants to buy a Deuce load. We sell by the...
Thanx for all the helpful comments. When he's home for the holidays we'll figure out what we can do about making it an Air Force Deuce..
McMullaq:
We were just out there Labor Day Weekend to see our son. They had a BIG tailgating party put on by each squad. Must have been well over 10,000...
One of my sons is in his first year at the Air Force Academy and he has asked me if we could convert my Army Deuce to an Air Force Deuce. I said sure and searched this site for a picture. All I can find is that some/all Air Force Deuces had the chopped stack with the flapper. I found a thread...
Welcome. This is a great site, no doubt. I was just over your way about a month ago picking up a set of bows for the Deuce. You're about 2 hrs from me. I apprecaite your verses. God bless you.

SC meetings
I'm about an hour northwest of Charlotte, and wouldn't mind bringing the Deuce down to the Columbia area. I'd like to have a trail ride if possible. July works better for me.
