I did my first Deuce oil change last October and also "learned" the speed of hot oil spilling out of the oil pan. I caught my plug but the oil caught my hand and splattered all over me, but most went in the 5 gallon bucket I used. I drained the small part of the pan first. That way there was...
I've been on Steel Soldiers for about 2 years and never seen so many deuces for sale at one GL site. Is there a story behind this many trucks up for auction?
I can't go that far to preview, but wonder if it's worth bidding. What kind of shape do the Redstone deuces tend to be in? I know...
Hope to be there too. Will try to bring one of the ammo trailers. JBlack and I will try to meet at exit 106 to convoy into Hickory in case any others want to meet.
Just a few pics of the recent snow in western NC. It took a few tries to crank the Deuce since it was around 25. Let her warm up and took it out first thing in the morning. It did very well on the hills in our subdivision.
Then the boys and I went four wheeling. HAd a blast. They built...
Only problem is that's my anniversary weekend. 26 Years! But we can celebrate the weekend before or after. I will certainly plan on being there. It's close by and it's a weekend. Post more details as you get them.
Atlanta trailer recovery - More Pics
The recovery went very well. John from GL was johnny on the spot. He met us on the highway and led us to the lot with the trailers. He and I were done with paperwork in no time at all. Then he quickly found a soldier to run one of the forklifts and put...
Things went really smooth. I thank Brandon for his tremendous help, and Kenny, Neil and son Brian for their help Saturday. Many hands make for light work.
I got the trailers for the tires - got 12 real good tires, some virtually new. I hope to use my trailer for a mock up of a howitzer to...
My first EUC was frustrating. Try this. There are 2 forms, this link takes you to directions to find the easier form

All taken
Thanks for all the offers to help with storage and recovery. I have 2 pretty definite commitments. I'll let those in line know if one comes available.
Talk about feeding time at the zoo. Not that my fellow Steel Soldiers are animals, but mention "free" and people get frenzied.
I am very sorry for not making myself clear.
When I said "in the area" I meant in the Atlanta area. I do not need 3 trailers and do not want to haul all 3 back to...
I am picking up 3 M200A1 trailers in Atlanta after the EUC clears, hopefully within a month. I bought the trailers for tires and only want one trailer. If someone in the area wants a free trailer or two and has their own 900x20's to put on, you can have them.
All 3 look like this.
Let me...
Good job. Nice truck and trailer. I like the looks of the M200 trailer - would love to get one, but they always go for too much. The M200 would be very useful with a few mods. Aside from the jack, it looks like you were well prepared for the recovery. I took everything I could think of...
Brandon,
I plan to meet you at your house about the same as last month. Hope to have one of the ammo trailers in tow - IF I get out of my back yard. The trailers and Deuce are parked down behind the house, and with all the rain this week, I fear the steep hill up to the road may be too much...
