Went out today for about a 30 mile drive and got home and imm. cheched the hub temps- the one hub in question was still at 145 deg. Does anyone think this is to hot or go ahead and replace seal for the 3rd time? if it's only going to run at 145 deg. would you be concerned? or is this too much...
just finished working on the right rear most hub. Had a leaking grease seal-axle fluid everywhere. Replaced the seals ,wheel bearings,races and brake shoes. put it all back together and started to leave the yard and just had 1 of those feelings. Jumped out and went around to look at the wheel I...
that tire looks like it has some age on it. been working around tires for 23 yrs. and have seen alot. I would say it would be ok for around the neighborhood but not at any kind of sustained speed.don't forget your 5 point harness & helmet.

unless you have experience flaring line go with compression couplers we use them at the garage when cust. doesnt want to spend a little extra money. rubber hose and clamps wont work -there is nothing to keep the hose and clamps from sliding one way or the other.:-D

have the same problem with my truck since i recovered it. changed all filters cleaned tank. cans of sea foam seemed to help some doesn't die now .just drops rpm's really low and picks backup to normal idle now.:roll:
did you get a look at the crank surfaceon your engine? maybe emerycloth would smooth imperfections. on seal install at work i pack seal with a thick lube or grease. seen way too many seals burn up on the 1st crank before oil can get there.:-D
