I am still trying to get my boys tied down on this and it is about the right time for my M 1031 to be released from GL since I already sent in the EUC. I am hoping they can bring the M1009 up and a tent to camp in. If they can pick up the M1031 then they can camp in the truck if needed too...
I would like a second helping of those chocolate potatoes please.
All joking aside is there a test for the fuel density compensator to see if it is leaking even a little bit that may boil off in the oil if running straight diesel like I do?
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: RUST STOP
I have not seen this beforeit looks to be a high quality primer but Rustbullet could be used inside the fuel tank as well it is the best stuff I know of on the market.
RE: Re: RE: RUST STOP
I made a suggestion for the Army to use this stuff back in the late 80's as it had just come out and on armor and big vehicles getting them a depot rebuild was out of the question so they started buying it in drums and used it on cracks and places they could not get to...
RE: GL Cummings powered M35
The 400 Cummins worked great in our M915 fleet about the only real problem we had running them for hundreds of thousands of miles was the suitcase water pump and that was pretty easy to fix. I always went as a Class A agent so I could buy parts along the way of our...
Thanks but I can download it off of the Army web page with my active duty log on. I really appreciate the thought. Thanks for the TM number I was trying to find it so this really will make it easer than typing in the NIIN.
Well I am back in Korea so my boys have to help me out. I will be sending in the EUC this week and then the SF97 I am looking forward to getting back home for good to really start working on all the trucks and trailers and this truck will let me store all the tools where I need them without...
Thanks Kenny, I noticed a strange looking thing in the picture of the engine right up front on top is that a speed control for the PTO? It is at Fort Indiantown Gap. I am setting up the arangements to get it picked up when the EUC clears.
RE: Re: RE: I WON I WON I WON!
Congrats it sure feels good to win one now you will have to convince the wife how useful they are. I am not sure about the orange thing except many of the parts that arrive come in that color plastic wrap. It could be a part not opened.
The real answer to that is when the Army finally promotes me. If it is soon and they force me to retire it could be as soon as March of 2009 if they want to keep me around for a while longer it might be a year or two more. I know my wife would like me home sooner and this truck fits perfectly...
Thanks:
You know I never even thought about it but I see Johnfire has an M1028 Contact truck and I got to thinking that most of the ones I remember were M1028, what is the main difference between the two?
Wow this is so cool I may ask for your help in picking it up if my boys have trouble coming up from Baltimore since they work and are in College during the week. I am excited about it having an on board power pack as it will fire up my welder and aircompressor and all the power tools as well...
Won the Truck
Wow Praise the LORD. I won this truck with no airhead upbidders monkeying around. The price stayed put the last 24 hours.
Just over 13K miles and runs Bid ended at $2157.00
RE: M1031
Woo Hoo God gave me the truck I am so blessed to know that it came in for less than we paid for the M1009. I will post more pictures in a minute
