Where do you get your WMO/Transmission fluid?

This is just the tip of the iceberg if we let Barrack Hussain Obama in office in fact there will most likely be a tax on it to pick it up. I think you could legitimately produce a company header and a spreadsheet that lists the products picked up and date to satisfy this. I picked up the...

    LONG TRIP

If you are not carrying any weight you may get by with no damage to the bearings. The hub flip is recommended when running outside only tires but I have singled up lots of dayton wheel trucks due to no spare and never had a problem with bearings. It looks nice and you should be good to go just...

M1031 (I won it today, Praise the LORD) more picts

RE: M1031 I never count anything as mine anyway God gives and takes away and we all go out with only the spiritual things. I understand and love the free society we live in so as in so many auctions if someone else wants if for more than I am willing to pay they have the right. I am hoping...

    Gear ratio for M1008.

Glad you are feeling better and tell your lovely wife that we will have to meet some other time. If you get assigned to Korea let me know and I will try to get you in the EUSA HQ. No M1008's on duty here but I did see an M1009 down in Busan at the Navy Base earlier this year.

    Gear ratio for M1008.

Wes: You are the man. I am sorry I did not get out to Riley while here at Leavenworth it just could not be fit in my schedule and I head out to Korea early tomorrow morning. The gears in the M1008 keep it draging it self down hill. The M1009 will pick up speed coasting downhill and the...

    m416 help(pics added)

I have two trailers with surge brakes and I love them. I think if you put the master cylnder back in it with the linkage you should be able to restore the brakes on the trailer and they are invaluable when hauling loads. I would see if a trailer hitch shop or RV shop has parts I bet they will...

M1031 (I won it today, Praise the LORD) more picts

RE: M1031 Thanks Kenny: I remember the miles in an M1008 on the road and remembering that they slowed down coasting downhill. If I win this one tomorrow it will form the basis for my retirement repair service. I have all the tools to put in it and hope that I can get it for my bid.

How are you storing your Deuces? (Plural)

I have all my trucks and trailers stacked up in the drive I am 80% owner of the property next door so all my trucks and trailers are in a very long drive right between the houses. Just waiting for the remaining 20% so I can raze the house and really make a motor pool.

Anyone have one of these? I am currently on top of one right now and my son said he will pick it up if I win it. Just wondered if they are geared lower than a M1008.

    Types of welding questions

Tap comes from where you are pulling the current from on the welder in old AC machines it was a tap on the windings of the transformer. True true about the heat dissipation and keeping the flux gasses around the fusion area.

    LDS-465-1A Powered M35A2's

RE: LDS-465-1A Powered M35A2 More power to you and from what I would say this may have been done in a National Guard maintenance site as they were working on dueces and 800 series long after the regular Army gave up on them. That is a way cool option for a duece just over a grand.

    Types of welding questions

I have used core flux wirefeed welders for home welding this type of project but having a big arc welder and way preferring the weld it gives I have experimented with very small rods and low settings and have successfully welded sheet metal with the arc welder but this is a technique that...

Custom trailer idea using a couple of M103A3's

RE: Custom trailer idea using a couple of M103A3 If you like work like this see my build on the convertor and just weld the two frames together shortening where needed to give you the wheelbase you desire. I think if you look at the possibilities of a two axle trailer it would be awesome what...

My M135 made the 2000 mile round trip

That is a fine truck and a real keeper. Thanks for posting the great photos and if you have more please keep them coming. All the automatics I own have at least three gears so being in second does not mean it is a clutch burner. I am only guessing the truck never upshifted or downshifted to...

Found what looks like a M135 on side of road

I agree that the truck once had singles look at the mud flap on the rear end of the bed one tire wide. This would be a great find to put in someones hands that has a shop and the money to fix it up.
