check tires to see if they might be rubbing? or jack up front end and put it on jackstands and have someone move the steering wheel while you watch the movements...may have something in the way, or could be bad tie rod end or in the pitman arm... could even be the king pin bushing..

You will probably just have to pull it and inspect. If it failed you will know it when you see it. I just tried opening my CUCV manuals and forgot my adobe has a bug and says "invalid plug-in" and closes... oh well.. check it out and let us know how it goes!
Did it seem like both tire initially locked up and now only one is still "froze"? If they both initially locked up then I would say you may have a diff that has jammed.. but one shaft may have snapped the uni and now that one is spinning free.. I would say that if you lost a uni it would spin...
That is a nice truck and I to like the look of the cut down bed.. not a fan of the 105 at all!! If I was gonna bob one I would cut the bed down. What do you do for a spare? would one of those fit in the spare spot and still have clearance?

I have always thought a front bumper mount would look good on the deuce and could be hinged so as to release down to touch ground without having to lift the tire off the bumper mount!
Could you not make a arm that pivots up and out to mount tire too... like a blazer or someother suv...

Yes that is right... the holes are on the top of the window frames and exactly same spot on the rear support bar..
I went to the local home improvement supply and bought 3 rods the same size as holes... forget dimensions... and about a foot longer than the distance and I bent them to form the...
