I just left the army recruiter's office and he said that this event sounds really cool. He said that he will start working on locating trucks and he hopes to find a HET and HEMTT available. He said that if can locate a HET he will personally drive it up to the show.
He also said that he...
I'll be in Lansing Friday morning and I'll be recovering 2 trailers and "checking" over a couple of m818's for glenn.
Anyone need any previews or anything? I might be able to help, I'll also being doing a deuce recovery Thursday morning at Selfridge.
Matt, unfortunately plan on waiting a long time for your first time. My first one was cancelled because it went over 60 days, then after that the 2nd took about 30 days and then they have all been about 2 weeks since then. I have submitted 6 euc's this year.
That is the one my dad wanted! He said he wanted it real bad, I asked, "How bad?" He said, "Go up to $2,500" I said, "You must want it bad."
I got my slave cable made up, so just waiting on the euc.
masterchief, I plan on running my air motors occassionally just to make sure that they are in working order; I do know that the electric (geniune US gov parts) conversion is big $
I do not have plans to go to electric right now, I would rather save towards power steering.
bigmech, there were some guys on here that wanted to get trucks at the Selfridge sale, but weren't able to. So you will probably get a bite on the trucks. Put them in the classifieds here too, your price sounds fair enough.
Gene, no notes on 5632, but 5657 started and ran, but we immediately shut her down because of what my dad called a "bad exhaust leak", it has heat, bows and cover in the bed, a full tool box (which by the way I need a threaded jerry can spout if you don't need yours and want to sell it), the...
I just found my notes, I do have some notes on 5629...we jumped started it and it ran. Has heat, tall cargo cover, nice paint, except the top and front are rusty. Tires are good, lights don't work or brakes
I am going to Lansing next week to recover a couple things, perhaps if you talk to Joe he will let me check them out for you. I am sure they are runners though.
There was nothing closer? Like something in New York, PA or MD?
My dad and I just put these new arms and blades on today, they work great! One of the wiper motors wasn't working; but I turned the arm nearly all the way up and it started.
Also, we worked on getting the brake lights working...several hours and still no luck.
EUC's for repeat buyers seem to be going ok, it is the first timers that are really dragging on for months.
My first EUC was cancelled on the 60th business day, it was just a couple weeks later that I got a letter from the folks at Battle Creek saying that I was being checked out for a demil...
Just had 2 trailers clear
EUC sent to BC 8/6
Customer notified 8/19
This is my 4th EUC that has cleared this year (I did have 1 cancelled, my first one)
the EUC cleared for the 2 trailers that were purchased the day before the truck, so I am anticipating the truck will be done soon too. I did fill out the EUC as if the truck was already sold and I put my dad's name as the purchaser...I figured that would through a monkey wrench in there and it...
