    New 1028

The box is original, there are a lot of 1028's with the fleetside bed. I believe the main difference is the true trac limited slip in the front axle and the heavy duty rear spring package with overloads.

    New 1028

I bought this truck for the frame and axles. When it finally showed up I considered putting it back together. They took a lot of good parts off it and threw the junk in the back. Front fender, inner fender, battey trays and batts, injector, two fuel lines were robbed. They cut the hoses out...

    Homemade trailer

I have a trailer I built out of a 86 2wd 1/2 ton. Pulled the bed last weekend and used the extra box and bumper from my 1028 in a lot better shape. I'm sure someone on the road will think I killed a military truck to do this. Oh well. I use the heck out of this trailer, now it will have some...

If you're still waitin on EUC

I got my approval Thursday the 16th. Got my truck on the next Friday. This was after a 65 day wait for the euc. I was bidding on this truck before that time and suddenly the truck was gone from the website. I called them and they said they had to change a number or something. A month went...

If you're still waitin on EUC

I am at day 55 today. It sure seems like it was a year ago I paid for my truck.

If you're still waitin on EUC

This is a quote from an email they just sent me, it's kind of foggy on the 60 days but it mentions it. First time submissions of the EUC can take up to sixty days or longer to be processed. Subsequent submittals take approximately ten days. Payment must be received within 5 business days of...

    Assembly Line Pics

I live about a half hour from the plant where they were made. People flag me down all the time to talk about my rig. I have met a lot of people that worked on that line. Cool pics, thanks for sharing.

    Topless m1009s

I took mine off in the spring. I did a truck tailgate conversion and bought a soft top. I didn't like the way the soft top mounted so I sold it. Now that they are making new ones again I may save for a new soft top. I like the way the new design bolts up. I have to figure something out soon...

    Purchasing M1008 at GL

I just won one last week. I overpaid for it bigtime but I'm really after a drivetrain for my dune truck. I'm still waiting for the EUC to clear. I won a M1028 and there doesn't seem to be very many coming through here in Michigan anymore. My biggesst problem was I can't kill a good truck so...

6.2 that has not been run in a long time. has a knock

My M1009 has a loud rattle noise too. It's real noticeable but not always there when I start it up and I don't remember hearing it when I bought it and drove it home. I listened to the engine parts with a long screwdriver. On the valve cover it shoudns quiet. But when I put in on any...

All these pins and no power brake signal?

That makes sence, they likely use air brakes on large trailers?

All these pins and no power brake signal?

I han't paid attention to military trailers, what type of brakes do they have?

All these pins and no power brake signal?

I just got done dealing with my trailer wiring too. I added a hitch to my M1009 and put in a 7prong recep for the trailer. I used a stock military trailer plug so I didn't have to cut the wiring and made an adapter out of it. I was surprized too but more surprized that I had a 2 bulb flasher...
