Perhaps you could have a bracket made which would attach the cargo carrier to the shackle mounts. It would definitely be far stronger than using a receiver tube.

Sounds like a flashback to Geraldo Rivera opening Al Capone's vault. There wasn't anything there either. When I got my 932 from Wright Patterson, there was nothing in either of the boxes, not even a lock.

It wasn't only the gun trucks that had yellow markings. I read that different units had every vehicle "marked" for easier identification. There are threads out there. Some of the amber headlights were clear to begin with, then fitted with amber film or even painted.
