    M1008 bumper on M1009

It looks good to me. You even have the 2" receiver. I wouldn't change a thing.

M1009, plenty of moving air but no heat.

Go to a battery dealer and ask them to sell you some "blems". Or go to Wally World. No sense in dishing out $400+ for batteries. I got 1000 cca batteries from Truck Pro for approx. $72 each.

    Question for cold weather starting

I installed a 1500 watt block heater in my Cummins. Got it @ NAPA for $63. Very easy install. It gave me a little peek @ the inside of the engine block. Glad to see it was super clean.

    My first CUCV

Way to go!!! You realize you have unleashed a monster! She just may outgrow the CUCV in short order and crave some bigger green iron. It's great to hear she is enjoying it so much.

Not sure how shipper loaded my truck

It's all about articulation. Ah, what a thing of beauty it is. Gotta love the design of MV's. Not the fastest, but definitely the most capable.

Does anyone know the weight of 5th wheel assembly???

I used the warehouse forklift to remove my 5th wheel and ramps. They are still laying in the corner. Guess i should put them out on the market. I bet shipping would be a deal-breaker.

Rod Ventilated Block in Deuce -NOT- Crank Broke

Do you have that engine strapped to a tree to keep it from tipping over? Or are you the jedi master of using a tree fall? I guess I need to read the TM again.

GL Engines- Sometimes you win and sometimes you loose

I think the oil sampling valve is in a different place in my 6.2 . This thread title is spot-on. A crapshoot @ best. Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes the bug.

    My first CUCV

If somebody consumed too much chili-mac and suffered from heartburn, indigestion, or upset stomach, they could always lick some of the Pepto-Bismol off the side of that truck. lol.

    PBY in a vacation ad

Grand Cayman was my favorite part of the cruise years ago. I didn't see anything like the this, but I did feed squid to the stingrays. Beautiful sands and crystal clear water.

    Hours/miles ratio in 5 tons

When I bought my 932, it had 532 miles and 24.2 hrs on the meter. I haven't checked it lately. If I get to the warehouse tomorrow, I can update. I think there are about 1700 or so miles on it now. Not sure about hours.

    Cracked my intake manifold today

As far as penetrating oil goes, if Kroil didn't work, PB Blaster won't phase it. Kroil is better than PB. There is something better than Kroil- the home made mix of 50% acetone- 50% auto trans fluid mix. This stuff works wonders.

    Speedometer vs GPS

Tire size determines speedo accuracy. Even tiny differences effect the mph reading- tread depth, tire pressure, wheel width, etc. The difference is barely noticeable at low speed. As speed increases, the gap between actual speed and that which is displayed on the speedo also increases. Think of...

    Deuce Stuck and need help!

Yep! that's the way !!! Rinse, repeat. Rinse, repeat. Until satisfactory results are achieved. Then the real work begins.

    Deuce Stuck and need help!

One of the best ways to clean a muddy truck is to either: A. park in a river or stream where it is KNOWN by you to have a solid bottom and let it rinse. I knew of spots where we could get up alot of speed and wash the underneath quite well. or B. (usually a better option) hook a sprinkler onto...
