I don't think OP intends on shortening the truck, just the bed. My Tructor (932A1 w/shortened 5 ton dropside bed) is just right for me. Its shorter wheelbase than a deuce. Congrats on the purchase. You are gonna love it.

Make sure you get a Snatch-n-strap. One that stretches one third of its length. Most "tow" straps do not stretch, and you might as well be using a chain.

Juan- I already tried what you are suggesting, and the front signals will not flash. This may work for the stock incandescent lights, but not LED's. My headlights, front and rear signals are all LED. My flasher is the newer composite type. Everything works fine until the marker light mod is tried.
