When I towed my M146 on a dolly behind my m35, it was 39,000lbs combined.
I just started in low, and wound up to 3rd low, then to 3rd high, then 4th and 5th. If I remember right
But you will be fine in 1st high. Remember, these trucks are designed for 10,000 highway load. Transfer low was...
My shipmate from Engineman A school was stationed on the Elrod. I went and visited him often aboard the ship. Very tiny. And I was a tin can sailor myself, so if I think its small...
Very cool project. They had CGN-37 USS South Carolina on GL a couple of years ago...
THAT would have been a...
how about using a hydraulic cylinder to control rotation? Should have very good control. Alot of the track working machinery we use has these types of booms on them.
took my deuce to a mud run in NC ONCE. Went back the next time, and the owner of the park had bought 3, and had sidelined his bulldozer and was using a deuce to recover stuck trucks.
I took my M109 through- slow but steady. Made all those guys jelous with the extra drive axle!!
I just love...
The wheels on the first jeep are simply CCKW rims trimmed with jeep bolt patterns welded into the centers. Very easy design, fits standard gauge (4ft 8.5in) quite well.
The one with the speeder wheels is a custom job. Spacers bolt to the jeep axle, then the standard speeder rims bolt to that...
Hey Dog777,
How about buying a M35 nearby for $1,500-$2,500, tow bar the XM211 down, then sell the M35 to break even or even make a little profit to put into the 211?
That's what I would do.
And welcome.
When I first started my latest M109, I panicked and shut it down, because the 'oil' gauge never registered anything. Found out after I shut it down it was the fuel gauge in the upper left corner, in my other trucks, it is the oil pressure. I got so used to seeing oil pressure in that location...
Haspin it is! :driver: It would just make me sad to see tables of parts I need/want, and not being able to get anything.
I loved the time I took my M109 to the mud pit. Plus my wife loves mudding her jeep.
Oh boy,
Now you guys have me debating.
Aberdeen, or Haspin?
I can make one or the other, but not both.
Suggestions?
I'll bring the M109 and my wife's jeep.
That website is for motorcycle filters. Tiny. Can you get a housing that doesn't come with an engine block attached to use these filters in other applications?
I like the idea, I would definitly get one if they sold it in a stand-alone housing.
Thanks for the link Stryker, interesting filter...
ONLY 450 miles? 578 miles for me last year...
Cutting it down to 539 this year.
It was worse for Clinto the year before...
Glad to see you Northeastern guys coming down to the rally.
Thanks Gimpy! Good to know. I have a 250gal HHO tank as well, was looking into getting another one and mounting them on a M105 trailer frame. Voila! homemade buffalo.

you can usually run any diesel engine off an oil if it is...
Almost 6months for my M109 last year...
You have to hound GL sometimes until it gets to DRMS. Then don't call DRMS, or it meets Mr. shreader or the round fileing cabinet.
At least that's what I think happened.
First,
Welcome to the site!
The thing that makes a multi a multi is the design of the pistons and engine as a whole. There is a Fuel Density Compensator (FDC) on the engines, it was to adjust the amount of fuel used to even out the engine output no matter what you were burning. Most are...
Yep, these locomotives are only 11 gallons in each engine (two cummins NTA-855 engines per locomotive, so only 22gal each time on these) but the other ones I work on are 250+ in the sump. That will keep me on the road a good long while! :-D
Anyone have problems with storing used motor oil in...
